Does this sometimes make you want a Tundra ?

Pulling up at the gym and saw this Monster. I was one of those that debated between a Tacoma and a Tundra when I was buying. Seeing this makes me wonder what if...

 

Me too.. The day I picked my tacoma up they rolled a black rock warrior of the truck and i damn near said nope I'll take that one. In hind site my daily commute just went from 38 miles one way to 68 so guess the taco was the right choice

 

i also debated on which one to get. but i like the taco's size, plus it has PLENTY of power! My sisters husband has a tundra and driving both, i would pick the Tacoma over and over again

 

Yeah I love the look of the Tundra, but my uncle is a mechanic at a Toyota dealership and he said that there is alot of problems with the Tundras compared to the Tacoma, and the Tacoma is able to pull the things that I normally haul around just find and it gets better gas mileage. The reasons that I gave are the reasons why I chose my Taco over the Tundra.

Both are still great trucks though.

 

There is nothing about a Tundra that makes me envious.

 

Yeah, nothing...but I would like a diesel from a Hilux.

 

If you do any off road. It's the Tacoma all day. The new (07+) Tundra is way too big and heavy to be really effective in a technical off road situation.

Not even 505 Hp & and 550 lb-ft of torque?

 

It's just too big period. I've been looking for a truck for the last few months and finally decided on a Tacoma. The Tundras and F-150's are all nice, but as a daily driver they are just too big.

 

All that hp would suck. a Tundra is dinky compared to my work truck.

 

It's true that for daily driving, parking, and not fitting in a standard garage, Tacomas are a better choice but seeing something like that cruising down the road is intimidating.

 

I would take a Tundra, but that one is ugly.

 

Just saying in general...I agree that one could be better with less chrome..

 

I concur, I like the Tundras and if I ever needed a bigger and/or additional truck that would be the way I would go, but I wouldn't give up my Taco for that anyday.

 

Thats true about them being intimidating, there is a guy in my town that has a blacked out Tundra with about a 6'' lift on his and it just looks so massive.

Meh. they are over rated, overstyled and oversized, not to mention downright ugly inside and out. I would sooner buy a Ford than a Tundra and if I wanted or needed that much power, I would get a diesel.

 

And big American diesels make them look small.

 

As I agree, but I wasnt talking about the Tundras looking bigger than other trucks.
