Def overthinking. I transported a coleman ramx canoe, probably around 75# multiple times on the highway, wheeling etc.. no issues with my stock FJ cruiser load bars. Lots of guys run RTT's full time on stock bars with no issues. They flex more, but otherwise they are perfectly strong.

    Lots of sail boat fuel
They're rated from the factory at 75lbs.

Back country fishing is really why I have my truck built the way it is. Out of my 3 trucks over a decade of doing it I've had no issues with reasonable load capacity

And I fish pretty much exclusively on water which sees only 30 people or so a year. Not easy to get there. Lots of high speed class six and trail bopping

If like to see some pics or instructions on this. Know of any threads on it? Granted I've carried two kayaks up there at highway speed a few times and no issues. Also around town a 20ft ladder. Not sure what that weighed lol.

Bill usually trades the 1st rounder anyway, makes sense now especially in rebuild mode..cheaper to sign the lower picked players. But man I was kinda hoping they'd scoop up Jordan Love..

What's the deal with this new wave of hoarding again? Seemed like everything but toilet paper was getting back to normal stock.

Bare shelves for the most part in the major stores like Stop-n-Plop.
Every now and then you can score some shit paper and paper towels. Got some at the Homey-Ds last weekend.

Anyone else got Quarantine brain? I cannot afford this, but I think I will start saving up for one. This will totally be in addition to, it's a stupid decision, but for some reason World Rally Blue with the 05-07 BBS wheels is oddly appealing. I think it would be fun to tool around with one again, and unlike my 2006, I won't worry about it being perfect.

As I've probably mentioned far too many times already I cancelled my Bermuda trip in July. It was to be the first trip away from both kids since Corinne was born. It would be the first night sans kids since November of 2018. I love em to death, but man if I'm not ready for a rest.

I used this one for my Landcruiser for reference. But all the Toyota stock racks are basically the same except for the tubular FJC one, and the new T4R pro tubular rack (which is the exact same as the FJC).

    https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/80-20-with-stock-roof-rack.1135678/

Basically use a 30 or 45 series drop in or standard T-nut in the rails like this https://8020.net/13110.html or https://8020.net/13096.html with whatever series extrusion bar and corner braces you want. It's typical to use either 10 series extrusion for lighter duty or 15 series extrusion for heavier duty. The plus it get the load bars a lot closer to your rood for lower profile while keeping the stock rails. Plus the 30 series extrusion is stonger than the stock cross bars.

Haha no swampers. Although I did see a side by side at the gas station the other day with them. I could hear him going down the road for a few miles while I was pumping gas.

On a different note, I got my TufSkinz decals on today. They make the same raised lettering for the Tacoma also
    image.jpg

Also, removed the 4x4 stickers from the bed side. Black truck in the sun and they came off like butter! Couple minutes with a microfiber towel and some rubbing alcohol cleaned up the outline quickly.

I really want to find a way to black out the grille. I’m debating vinyl wrap but may just try my hand at painting it. If I could get the grille black, i’d keep the chrome bumpers and, in my opinion, would have just the right about of chrome against the black truck.
