I don't know if there is a source for Universal SMALL Toyota size rocker switches. My puddle light rocket switch had to be custom made.

Cool, thanks for the info. I was hoping I could find a source so I could standardize on the small switches.

As that person looking into an issue on old forum posts I thank you. Haha. So many times I’ll find an old thread with an update or edit that just says “oh never mind got it fixed” with no process or what the fix was!

Sorry but way too many pages to read thru here to see if this was covered.
Got mine done a couple weeks ago.
The first side was around 3 hours (driver's side), 10 minutes on that damn plug.
*Note, just pop the switch panel up out of the door panel, super easy.
    Second side around 2 hours.
Notes, Don't pull back the plastic membrane, remove the speaker.
Gives you a straighter shot at the jam boots.
I soldered on a larger eyelet terminal for the ground on the selectable switch kit,
so I could use an easier stud under the dash.

As for the harness under the A pillar.......
I could not make it fit at all, so I disconnected the stock harness plug clip from the A pillar and tossed it.
This enabled me to maneuver all the new works into a comfortable place without hindering the airbag.

    Love the kit.
I may make a couple of angled shims to angle the lights away from the door later but totally happy with these.

FYI: If anyone else broke or lost some of the little white clips for the window corner cover, shoot me a PM. I bought a bag of 30 so I have a bunch left over I can send out.

Quick question for everyone; have any of you had one of the lights randomly my stop working? I have had my set since @MESO first launched them. So nearly a year ago. First mod on my truck actually. Got them 3 days after I bought it.

anyways. My passenger light randomly stopped working today. It worked this morning. But when I went out to my truck tonight to grab something out of it; I noticed my passenger side didn’t light up. Checked my connections. Nothing is loose. Could be a burn kit which is easy fix. But was curious if anyone else has had this happen that resulted in something different?

Wanted to trouble shoot ideas. I did contact Stew so I know he will help; but wanna check all my options so that I may not have to bother that very busy man lol

Pull the lights and test them on the opposite sides. If the same light doesnt work its likely the light. If the passenger side still doesnt work check the wiring as it may have gotten damaged along the routing like inside the door or the boot going into the cab.

Has anyone had an issue with the switch backlighting? I finally got around to wiring it by cutting the thin black wire at the switch and running 12vdc to that wire by tapping the 5A panel fuse. Glad I had the MESO fuse cover, but the switch does not light. All switch functions work, and I verified I have 12v coming to the switch from the fuse panel. Am I missing something obvious?

Which version of the puddle lights do you have ?

Only the original puddles requires you to cut the switch and tap for power.

The newer puddle kits were made to allow plug and play for illumination.

I have the same version harness.

I also have the 5A Panel fuse tapped I grounded the switch to the 10mm bolt to the left knee airbag under the dash. Everything on mine functions as it should.

When you said the switch isn’t illuminating, did you turn the parking lights on ? I know it’s a dumb question , but the last guy I helped out this was his issue.

Lol, yes, tried both parking and headlight positions. The stock switch backlighting comes on. I may pull the switch out tomorrow and hook it to a 12vdc power supply on my workbench. That will be the real test I suppose. Pretty sure it is the switch itself at this point

SO the illuminated switch is a little whiter and brighter than OEM? Ive read through all the posts in the past here, but don't recall if its a dimmable switch... Waiting patiently for in stock notification :canada:

Yes, it is brighter than stock, but I like it. It is not dimmable, I've seen someone put some tint film in it to dim it if you want to do that.

Thank you for that. Do like the idea of a little tint to it! Cheers :)
