That was, what us folks in the industry call, a "temporary reprieve."

 

Yep, we have both French and English lavender planted. Maybe they recommend pots because it likes lose soil? Honestly if you till up a corner and shove one in the ground you'll probably be fine. They're extremely drought tolerant once they are established....as in I don't really bother watering them at all.

They're also supposed to be cut back each year otherwise it'll get a little woody but I really like how big it's gotten *insert joke here* so I don't bother. If you give then a trim after the first blooms start dying you can actually get two blooms out of them a year.

 

You are awfully busy now with the new job. Are you still enjoying it?

 

Perfect!!! Thanks! We have this weird corned along our driveway that has this tiny little plant from the previous owners that we want to get rid of. Some color from the lavender would be perfect there.

I am! Lots of things to fix, but there's a few knowledgeable people to answer questions and most of the stuff comes easy and is very straightforward. I like it much better than just doing the rental part, although that's what I'm doing today as everything is just waiting on parts or customer pickup. I love the job and like the rentals, but still not a fan of people or the bs. But whatever!
