I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
UGA's first 5 were rough. Especially their loss to Colorado. I think AJ Green is helping bring the team back though. Hes pretty damn impressive.

However, I think that Florida is pretty sore from losing at home to miss state. It'll definitely be a tough game but i'm gonna have to give it to florida due to home field advantage.

Vegas is calling Georgia by 3 though.

The game is in Florida, but it's at a neutral site. I think the tickets are 50/50. *think*

    Yup. Tickets are split 50/50.

It's just about always in Jacksonville. I think the last time it was held at Athens/Gainseville was 94/95 They've talked about goin playin at the home fields a little over the past couple years, but decided it wasn't gonna happen.

It used to be called the World's Largest Cocktail Party, but as of 2 or 3 years ago they just started calling it the "Georgia/Florida Game" because "The World's Largest cocktail Party" sends the wrong message.. Pretty stupid. But whatever.

    Sorry...random information.

Georgia. Florida is horrible this year! Brantley is no Tebow, no matter how much they need him to be. I think the SECE comes down to USCe & UGA.

Yea Florida is not what they use to be. And your right, Brantley is no Tebow, (Imagine if Newton would have stayed at Florida, it would have been a plug and play offense, Tebows gone, Newtons in). Georgia is gaining some momentum though while Florida is falling off the table....If I were a betting man, I'd go with Georgia.

Clearly it's working out for him at auburn, but Cam shouldn't have left the gators. With Cam at QB, I think you can swap the auburn and florida records, easily.

Then again... Cam is the Heisman frontrunner and playing for the #1 team in the nation at auburn, so maybe he knew what he was doing afterall.

If auburn wins out, Cam could graduate with three (maybe - but unlikely - four) national championship rings. One from his year at UF, one from the Jr. College, and one from this year. Even if he stays, I don't think they have a chance to win it next year. The schedule is a LOT tougher, and most of the O-line is graduating. Still, getting three would be impressive.

In a perfect world that would be great, but I just want to beat Ole Miss saturday! Lots of ball left to play. Its the SEC, anything can happen.

You think he'd stay? He may win the Heisman, he may win another ring, what would he have left to prove?? I think he'd be done with college football and go for the money.

Which poses another question. What position should he play in the pros? I don't think his style of qb would work in the NFL. Running back??

Newton staying or going...hmm thats a tough question. Not knowing him as a person, just going by what I've heard him say on post game interviews and talk radio. He always says there is more than just me out there. Always gives credit to the team and coaches as a whole and always thanks Auburn for giving him an opportunity. So just judging his character by that I think he would stay.

I don't think character means a thing in his decision. He doesn't owe it to auburn to stay another year, so it isn't a character question at all.

His O-line isn't going to be there next year. The toughest teams they've played this year are all at home (except Alabama). Next year, they're all away... at LA State, at Clemson, at South Carolina, at Arkansas.

The real question is whether he'll go high in the draft, and whether the NFL will have a lockout. If there's no professional football to be played, of course he stays. If they work it out AND Cam is projected to go in the first round, he'd be a fool NOT to go.

Same thing with Mark Ingram. I think he is a classy/high-character guy, too, but there's no way he returns for his senior season. He's headed to the NFL next year, and who could blame him? Do the same thing for millions of dollars. I'd be gone, too.

No way Cam plays running back in the NFL. He's way too tall for that. I think he'd still play QB, like Vince Young.

I don't think he owes anything to the school. He's been in three systems in three years. Good character but it's not like he has a reason to stay.

I think he goes. I just question his success at that level as a QB. The size works well for Vince Young, but totally bombed for Jamarcus Russell, for instance. Idk. :notsure:

But, you always hear the talking heads saying (About others, not Cam) "He's not tall enough to be a a pro QB." Well, Cam is penty tall. I think that'll actually make him move up the draft board before it's all said and done. His height helps him see over the line as the pocket is crashin around him. The only thing that hurts him as a QB is...his ability to run. You saw it with Vick. He came into the league and then people started saying he ran too much and he wasn't a real QB. But, if he can read a defense, he'll be fine at the next level. He'll learn quickly that he can't just pull the ball down and run as often (Like Vick finally learned after he came back). Either that, or his career won't last long.

Yeah, you're right. Completely right. I don't think his throwing abilities are nearly as good as his running. Not sure how well that would go at the next level.

I agree with you on these 2. I actually picked Iowa and Nebraska to win, and they're making me look great right now. This is an entertaining BYE week!
