Anyone driven around at Horsepasture lately? Is it still minivan friendly? Should have gates open currently right?

Trying to dodge more of these intense storms, but being at the station makes that difficult.

 

Camped there last night. All seasonal gates are open. Shooting Branch May have a section or two that is not minivan friendly but they’re not bad, just depends on tires

 

Thanks. Last time I was there a minivan could make it to the overlook. I won’t be in the van but almost hate it’s that accessible.

Oh you can absolutely make it to jumping off rock. Only the side sections have anything “questionable”

 

Not bad - we camped on the shooting branch offshoot so didn’t hit Horsepasture until the morning. Only saw 4-5 other vehicles until this afternoon.

 

Might have to hit it up this week.

 

I’ll probably be back next weekend! Was my first night in the new (to me) tent

with all the seasonal gates open, there are so many campsite options. All of the ones we checked were empty
