Checked rear diff leak. It turned out the drain plug just wasn't tight enough. Yay. Playing with the tire pressure because rears are crowning out at 5/32 in the center while the sides are 7/32. The fronts are fine at 7/32 straight across. All I am running are the door recommendation's of 32 rear and 29 front with stock 265/70/16's. I dropped the rear to 30PSI. I haven't driven it yet to see if it's too soft.

Today was a day of firsts. The first time I've spent 4 hours working on the truck. The first time I had it up completely off the ground and only on jack stands (up front). The first time I've ever taken apart anything remotely suspension-like, and the first time I didn't break anything because I took my time AND a break for lunch and recharge. Having said that, new shocks and springs installed up front, along with diff drop spacers and new bolts, and finally the driver's side spacer for taco lean. People who say the Bilstein 5100s and OME 884s are rough have never ridden on Quick-Struts before (I have, just figured that out when I got the fucking things off the truck). I still have the rear end to do, 5100s and General HDs for that, but for now, I'm VERY happy with the way it feels just going over speed bumps and being mostly leveled out (I actually think the front is up half an inch from the back, but I don't care right now, I'm thrilled with my work).

It's gonna look much better after Tuesday with some new 265 75/R16s on it to replace the 245 75/R16s it runs now.

meanwhile ordered a head unit and install accessories from AMZ. They got all the install bits to me in 3 days, but not getting the head unit out til May (it’s in stock). So can’t even start with harnessing.

You may need some lift blocks or an add-a-leaf to go with that.

To go with the rear 5100s and General Springs HD leafs? I feel like that will pretty much level it out without the need for anything extra. I shamelessly stole the setup from another thread on here. :)

Finally got all my parts and and completed the rear diff breather relocate into the tail light.
Wired up my bed rack tail lights to a 4pin so I have "3rd tail light" when running softopper, bed rack, and RTT.
Started to drill a hole in my bumper to relocate the 7pin next to the license plate but the bit jumped and snapped.

I missed that you already had rear leafs done. Disregard, though I prefer a bit of rake over a leveled or squatted truck.

They're not in yet, just here and ready to go on the truck. Once they're both on I'll get a tiny bit of rake back.

Used it like what I bought it for, hauling stuff. Wife asked if I would go to the garden center with her. . . I don't think she understands the "ass, gas, or grass" comments.

Cleaned the interior and the inside of the fenders. I can’t believe how much crap found it’s way in there.

I love a hot summer day at the beach in flip flops. Then I hit a back country road and flip my shoes off. The Taco is such a great driver at 40-60 MPH on a curvy southern Indiana road. I’ll never get rid of my carpet.

Spent an hour cleaning it this morning.

Wifey has them in her Burb.

I got the Coverkings and am very pleased thus far. Easy install and they fit perfectly. They really engineered these well and have many well placed straps. I got mine by chance on Costco online while running a $70 discount last month. I would imagine that they are still running the sale.
