Maybe that compartment was always meant to heat Mexican food.

I usually throw some microwavables on the dash between the windshield and sun-shade. Cooked to perfection by lunch

Toyota should move the scoop from the hood to the roof and make it functional for air flow into the holder.:spending:

To tell the truth, I've never found that sunglasses fit in them very well.

Mexican food adapts to it's container. Another clue.

Maybe keep then in the case? I dont think vent holes will help as theyre hot from conduction not convection

I feel I can actually answer this question.

Manual off-road owner with sunglasses holder, who also happens to have shit eye sight. I wear transition glasses so I don’t have to carry around 2 pairs of glasses when going from outdoor to indoor. The only downside is they need UV to transition. No UV inside the truck so they stay crystal clear.

Keep the prescription sunglasses in the holder for driving on sunny days.

Never had an issue with them being to hot though so I see no reason for adding speed holes.

The thing I love about TacomaWorld is that they will fully support someone to put to 20K plus into a truck just so it can look cool going back and forth to Costco, but if someone is looking to do something free and practical it results in whatever this thread got hijacked into being.

I say drill the holes. Let us know how it turns out.

I don't think that's true, sure most posts are lifts, wheels and tires, but seen plenty of sweet little mod write ups. In fact my first mod ever was TW inspired, combi locks on my 08, I think some just like giving people a hard time in good fun sometimes. I totally get OP's thinking, lived in AZ long enough and had to park outside, everything was molten lava, sh*t the heat was enough one day to allow the mirror to pull off a piece of glass with it.
