They have scratched my truck twice. Last service my oil screw wasn't sealed and lost all the oil over two weeks. I drive back every...single...fucking... time to rip idiots heads off.

I travel the states for work so not a lot of options.

I was able to finesse them to let me watch my last service.

I realized how shitty the dealership is when I saw a kid I went to highschool with who was a total junkie/drug user wearing their “mechanic” uniform smoking a cigarette around the corner...

Not saying ex drug users or people who smoke can’t be good mechanics, BUT in this particular case I know the dealer close to me sucks if they hired this guy and let him go near vehicles..

Yet another reason to learn your own truck inside and out!

sortof stock. 6112/5160, pro wheels and a tune.
my dealer is replacing my front diff under the tsb. i have the ecgs bushing, tool, and axle seal on my workbench- been there for a month. originally i was going to pop it in, but after i had my timing cover resealed, they noticed it and wanted to do the tsb. i’m not going to say no to a fresh new diff on their dime.
i figure i’ll see what this tsb does and if it comes back after their supposed “fix”... ill pop it in the bushing.

absolutely boggles my mind the damage, heart-ache, and annoyance some of you are willing to put your truck/self through to have 285 KO2's & Maxed out block-spacer lifts on your truck. I mean how could this possibly be worth it?

What’s the life expectancy of the ECGS bushing?
    I mean, it’s a bushing, not a steel bearing.

Depends on your definition of worth. While I whole heatedly agree, other people have different wants and needs and lessons to learn lol. This could be someone's back up vehicle.

It will outlast the truck. I've had bushing in since 45k miles. I now have 210k miles.

Update, did the install, pretty good video tutorials out there which takes the guess work out of this DYI. 100% fixed the vibration. Not that more chatter or images are needed, but just wanted to confirm another success of this part fixing the issue. NOTE: When tapping in the tool it broke off a piece of the needle bearing rim, had to fish out with a magnet. I'd say keep an eye on the removed bearing and make sure its fully intact before continuing. Found this video the most helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9W31KGy6k0

Did the vibration you were experiencing always occur or just after a lift?

Only 3 months later, but didn't see a response. No you do not have to align it. Would it hurt to check? No, but you are not touching the adjusters so it goes back just like it came off.

I lifted it using the 6112 front on 6/5 clips and the 1.5 AAL with 5160 rears the other day and first test drive it instantly was vibrating. Overall I only got about 1.5"ish lift from stock and it vibrated first drive and first week. I ordered the ECGS bushing immediately when it was vibrating and took a few days to get here. I would highly suggest for anyone doing a full suspension lift themselves to just order the bushing in advance and do it while you have the front opened up. Its a simple install if you are doing a lift yourself you can easily do it as well. $60 bucks for the bushing, borrowed a buddies tool that he had bought when he did this as well. Only thing I had issue with was tapping the new bushing back in, def recommend borrowing the bushing driver tool or making sure you have a socket that is the same size to make tapping it in easy.

Thank you so much guys! I put bigger tires on last year and noticed a slight wobble in my steering wheel and under my feet. I thought I may have thrown a weight. This year I lifted my truck with a 3 inch kit and got the tires rebalanced. I found the shake and howl was worse after the lift. I just threw in the ecgs bushing. Night and day! You guys rock!!!

So I have read that the vibration goes away after installing this but after the installation, mine steering wheel shakes much less than it did before but it still shakes. Could it be incorrect maintenance? I didn’t personally do it myself but sent it in to get it changed out when I was regearing my truck.

Need more info, did you change your suspension? How about UCA? Alignment recently done?
