the firmware update of the handheld has nothing to do with the tune

 

May tonight be the last time I hear this start up. Crossing my fingers for a weekend patch.

Otherwise it's driving better than it ever has before! Pulls in 3rd all the way up to highway speed now. Exits out of a corner and accelerates like it should putting power to the ground.

 

I get that on warm/hot start sometimes. I also got it stock. I don't really consider it anything to worry about...

 

Never once have I got that on stock tune. Super prevalent on 2.0f

 

Stock, it wasn't as bad I suppose, but I did have it a few times.

 

Pretty predictable Now. Curious what the issue / fix is.

 

Starts in Direct injection mode, then goes to PI+DI.

 

I know. Was hoping the FW update would increase compatibility with more model years

 

But what's the mechanism. Fuel is fuel right?

 

For 2.0F I read it as Gearlock in S mode without ECT only. With ECT no gearlock in S mode. For 2.0F test users is this correct?

 

Idk. Timing? Mixture?

correct - I have 2.0 Final-Test and your description noted above is the way it works.

Have to say S mode with ECT engaged (Tow mode) is very nice - rpm's much higher. Have not towed yet but considering the higher rpm range it should making towing nicer.

 

Don’t know if the 2.0f test file has the full 3 way map switching yet but @OVTune has indicated in the blog post of Nov 9, 2019 that 2.0F for AT would have 3 way map switching available through these modes:

Map 1
D = normal mode

Map 2
D+ECT = performance mode

Map 3
S = gearlock mode
S (gearlock mode) + ECT button = Tow/Haul (Gearlocking Atkinson elimination)

S is gear lock
S and ect basically like how ur supposed to tow from factory. Is your tow mode.
I cannot believe this is still being asked/talked about. Yall need to go read the ovtune blog of 2.0 or something.
