    Bunch of Basic Taco mods.
I left mine in place, masked around them, and painted them in place. I had a feeling they would give me trouble so I left them installed this time around. Tiniest bit of overspray in the bed but hardly noticeable.

When i took the front ones out in order to fix the bed clunk issue it maybe that i have the Truck Krown'd every year but i also used a 1/2 inch drive T55 impact socket/air impact wrench and it came out easy...

Yesterday I went to change my front diff and transfer case oil. Transfer case went fine, both bolts came out easy. Got the fill bolt on the front diff out, no problem, but the lower drain bolt was pretty well seized. Sprayed it with penetrant and got back to it today. My 10mm hex is 3/8” drive and my breaker bar is 1/2”, was too much flex with the adapter to get it moved far enough to budge anything. Couldn’t get it to budge with my 3/8” ratchet and all my might.

Eventually said screw it and used the floor jack to push on the end of the 3/8” ratchet. Ended up lifting up the front end a few times but it worked hahah. Eventually I heard a big crack and the suspension settled back down. So happy I didn’t break or strip anything.

ive tried everything on my 2 front bed bolts. My impact driver didn’t work (24VDC) soaked bolts with everything. Tried a long cheater bar also. Taking it to a mech on Monday to try a pneumatic impact driver which has more power. Ordered 2 bed bolts from dealer just in case. $12 each. Can return if not needed. Just need to loosen mine to install front Victory4x4 rack.

This looks sick might have to look into this , I also had a bed bolt that was stuck , I used a dremel with a metal cut off wheel and cut to ends off , used a 24inch adjustable wrench from harbor freight and I came off no biggie , good luck

Yeah, it’s sitting in the living room. DW is not happy about that.....water on the left, gas on the right (not installed yet)

Your idea sounds like a winner, but I’m tired of messing with it.

On a second gen Tacoma you really need the bigger Tundra MC and Tundra dual diaphragm booster. Big brakes aren't going to stop much better than stock Tacoma brakes with the Tacoma single diaphragm booster.

Some much needed spring cleaning. Get all of the road grime and extra stuff off. First day with nice warm weather in a while.

A couple coats of mother's cleaner wax to get her really clean with rain-x glass and raix-x plastic treatment for the headlights, fog, tails light. Let's see how long she will stay clean for.

Wired up my MESO overhead switch panel today. Wired it up so the compressor switch must be on (throwing power out) for the locker switch to get any power. Tested everything out and plan to install tomorrow. One more step forward.

There are alot of questions on this so I will post an overall response/setup overview.

Current setup in regards to affecting mileage..
    Enkei RPT1 16x8 (18lbs + 60lb tires)
    Wildpeak LT285/75R16 38 psi front/36 psi rear
    3* camshaft gears
    URD MAF calibrator
    Volant CAI with ram scoop
    Stock headers and exhaust

URD calibrator was easy to install. I have the basic kit that you wire in since the plug and play kit is out of stock. I highly recommend you purchase the plug and play variant unless you really like minor electrical work. The install includes 5 wires. 3 will be spliced and 2 wires intercept the MAF sensor wire.

    https://www.urdusa.com/urd-maf-sensor-calibrator/

The 3* camshaft gears allow for a fuller cycle, emptying residual exhaust gases more efficiently and allowing for more cool to enter during the intake phase thus netting a small power gain and a change in the power and characteristics. Even after these gears I noticed a substantial change in the vehicle's attitude. If you read this far then I would like provide my oem camshaft gear set to you for free provided you pay for shipping. PM me.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cam-gears-with-3°-retard-for-v6-1gr.618266/

I went ahead and I have been adjusting maps through URD's provided software. I have it tuned extremely lean. I was quite surprised that I gained mileage as my driving has gotten a little bit more aggressive with the bolt ons. The base map was very good, gains were very noticeable at mid to top end and even more so after some head to head comparisons with my friend on 35's and 4.88 gearing.

In regards to smog tests.. besides having an intake, there is no visual inspection that could detect the changes I have made. The ECU will automatically adjust for the camshaft gears and the calibrator (depending on how well you hid it or not) is basically non existent.

    Bottom line:
I used to get 240 miles with average driving, almost 350 with strictly highway cruising.
After the modifications I have hit 320 miles with the same driving habits and mixed city/highway.

I have no doubt 350 miles a tank will be achievable. That will be inclusive of converting my current habits to grandpa status cruising.
