Did I break a tie rod?

I order all my parts online for McGeorge Toyota there are a few other ones that offer online purchase pretty good deals with online purchases

 

I check knuckles in a few ways.

The easiest method is to put your finger between the tire and the knuckle.

It looks like in your picture that one is tighter than the other, implying a bent knuckle.

 

Problem in these days most people go by what computer says they usually don't know what they're looking at. They just do what the computer tells them to do

I drove around for a year with no power steering. It was a online purchase from their parts department. Just wasn't as cheap as yours. When I first started looking for one, I had prices of 1400 to 1600 for he rack alone. No aftermarket parts were available.

 

It’s more common than you would think.
Common enough that multiple fabricators offer Gusset Kits.
Usually they will crack first.

 

Man that is a lot, I guess I'm getting a pretty good deal for new OEM parts

 

Yes, I would consider it a steal.

Got an alignment done yesterday and it seems to have fixed the problem! Whew! Was def stressing a big repair.

Well I'm glad ,that's good , at least it wasn't a costly repair, wish mine was that easy

 

Passenger tie rod looks funky, but no rock rash on the tie-rod to indicate it was hit....

check your Cam-Bolt tabs on your LCA... snapped a shock and sheared two tabs off near the Grand Canyon last year.... drove 500 miles with my steering wheel crooked LOL

 

Had the same issue as op....went and got an alignment ...fixed the issue for a few weeks and now my tires are wearing on the outer sides. Lifted the wheels off the ground and noticed I have play at 3 and 6 o clock on Both driver and passenger side. The same play moves the steering wheel...anyone have an idea? Bad bushings? Bad steering rack?

 

no....I didn’t even think my steering wheel could lock
