That's because of revisionist history. Poor leadership drug us into the GD far further that it should have. The policies from then will still haunt us in the near future.

 

Yea I told my wife to get used to eating rice and beans, I've weaned myself mostly off meat due to some medical problems.

If does get ugly I hope people take to the streets and just disobey and go about their business. I'm pretty biased and jaded because well look at where I live.

 

Pro tip ... stock up on protein powder and lots of it ! I got enough rice and PP to live a couple years if need be.

No idea. This could ramp back up again in the fall. Just as things are hoping to recover, businesses that barely survived likely won’t survive the second time. And we will be in the middle of an election. No politics here, but you never know how things respond to any of that. Some of our Midwest states that didn’t act very quickly now lead the nation in rate of infection increase. But we are opening up. So time will tell.

If it gets that bad I'm just offing myself in the garage, seriously.

There wasn't much to act quickly about. The virus was here and spreading months before anyone knew about it (except for the country of origin). That's the problem with carriers that show no symptoms. You don't know it's there.

Yea I was mainly taking jabs at the suburban born and bred bros with a 9mm thinking they will be mad max if the SHTF lol. I have some people in my friend group like that "if it goes down I'll just rob my neighbor" really your an IT analyst who's wife allots him 3 weekends a year to go play golf and DDs a minivan, the complete opposite of a pirate badass LOL!!!

The cop laying off is a very realistic scenario if they dont start getting some sales tax revenue.

 

Most of my golfing buddies are retired military or work for the DoD, with the exception of my daughter that is learning how to shoot.

It's funny how a suppressed .22 is a far better learning tool in the backyard, than a pellet gun.

 

I really do want to look at 2010 to 2019 and follow every move an analyst on a news show advises and takes and then just compare it to a basic index fund. I know we’ve bashed on Cramer before but I think it would be a fun project when I don’t have a million other things going on already

 

I'm 36 so most of my friends are student loan debt ridden MBA holding underemployed house cats LOL!!!

I'm firmly in that camp minus golf, minivan, MBA or having student loans.
