If anyone is in the same boat as me with your Donald Dollars, and entered your direct deposit info on the IRS website, check the status today. Mine now says it will be deposited in April 30.

I’m in Iowa, one of the couple states that never did stay at home order. Now have the highest rate of increase in the country. Most total cases in our state the last 2 days. But still starting to reopen tomorrow. So my point is we have no idea if this gets worse or better soon

The question is, will there be a round 2 of DD?

I hope not, I wasn’t a fan of round 1, but I won’t decline it either. This all has to be paid back somehow!

FWIW we were state 3 to lock down and things have been the same growth wise. Boils down to no one has any idea what they are doing. Basically 100% of people will get this thing, or at least be exposed to it at some point.

Rates vary as to how many are tested and when they're tested. Your total cases are less than Alabama and we did shutdown. I doubt we'll ever know how many are carriers without symptoms.

We weren't eligible for round 1, probably not round 2 and I cant get unemployment. I should be excluded from having to pay this back. Crazy talk!!

My point is we don’t know. Iowa has tested half the people of Alabama, unlike many states our numbers are rising. If another shutdown is initiated it will be worse news than what we just did, and will slow the economic recovery drastically

There is no doubt about that.

I've had the virus, the same as a few co-workers and was never tested.

If we could just get a straight answer on whether or not those already infected can or cannot get reinfected, that would be a pretty important thing to know. Can’t believe they can’t figure that out. If those already infected aren’t immune, it changes the entire outlook.

There is no right answer, as this affects different people in different ways. So far, the majority that have died, had underlying conditions that may have even been fatal with the flu. Plus, If you died from just about anything, but tested positive with CV-19 were included in the death tolls.

I think I had it a second time, but it only lasted 2 days, instead of 10. The first time, I'm convinced I had it.

This is my last comment on this topic, as it has caused the shutdown on some threads and resulted in several bans.

The great depression lasted 3x longer than it would have because of the New Deal. Hell it's even hurting the markets and our economy now. Would have been called the Great Contraction without all that.
---- just gimme the hammer if hating unsustainable economic policy is too much powlytics for an investment bs thread

Careful and no need to go there, as most of us understand history.

Don't worry i don't plan on getting much further into it. Just don't like seeing the great depression constantly referenced as if there was a lot to learn from it originally. Banks are susceptible to bank runs should have been about it, case closed after a year or two
