Thanks! Much improvement over the stock sport wheels. I painted them gunmetal along with the badges.

Cool color! I’m about to make my own aluminum center caps for them, because my plastic ones are cracking. I’ve just been waiting for a couple of them to disappear one day. Lol.

Bingo. Hopefully you have a steady hand for the "TRD" painting. Be sure not to pour yourself a drink till you're done with that part.

I’m not so sure my hand is steady enough for this, but it does seem like it would be hell of a lot easier to paint then tape around the letters rather than vise versa. This being because the letters are slightly indented

Another option is to just get some high quality TRD decals and put them on after you do the painting.

Thought about this too, but it would probably be hard to find some that fit perfectly in those slight indentions. Will just have to do some more research on that

If you get a small enough paint brush and pretty much apply it slightly dry then you will be fine. Tape a square around the edges of the letters to help keep the red inside the embossed letters. You need to dip the brush in the red paint to where only the very small bristles are wet, then dot the excess on a paper towel to dry it off a little. The key is to apply a very small amount at a time; you aren’t going for filling up the whole letter at one time. Just get a little at a time and sort of touch up missed areas each pass since the brush will be almost dry and not provide full coverage.
Once it’s done, remove the tape around the edges and let everything dry. You can go back with black paint brush to sharpen edges if you applied too much red somewhere. Then, cover with a clear coat.
Practice on a piece of paper first coloring in block letters or something. It isn’t hard, and you should try to do it this way. It will turn out better than trying to tape over and trim out the letters with a razor blade. Then you risk peeling up the black if you didn’t let it cure for a week or something. Not to mention bleed through on the edges of the tape.
