My irises went berserk overnight. Not so fun fact, sometimes they won't bloom within the first year or two of being planted. Punishment for separating them from their family?

    20200426_094855_HDR.jpg

This is planted outside our yard in a random spot and I've never seen it bloom in the 4 years here. I'm guessing it was a discard that decided to bloom. Totally taking this sucker with us.
    20200426_094931.jpg

Not an iris but another option for @TooTallJAMZ this is a type of sage called salvia that has many color varieties. You can hack these bad boys into submission and they'll keep growing. A small 4" pot could easily turn into a yard wide corner in a year or two.

And last but not least anyone able to identify? They pop up randomly around the yard.20200426_095013_HDR.jpg

Geez. I had beans with jalapeno sauce for supper. Fried eggs and bologna for breakfast. Now I have so much gas I might get the blame for global warming. :(

    I use 6 and 10 # test.
When I fish in water that have pike, I use the 10# with a 10” black nylon leader. Otherwise it’s just 6. I always have a spare spool ready to go....

Lol that's crazy. I do have a few heirloom varieties that are around 3ft tall and I had no idea they got that big. Seeing them all bloom this year gives me hope that I've got really healthy rhizomes and hopefully when I pull them they won't incur too much damage.

My sister is not an iris fan. When they had bought their house the owner had the driveway lined with probably a 100 varieties that were all identified and even had a book with photos of each one. She killed them all

We're on the same page this morning but ours will have taters. @Twizted is on cooking duty because I'm staging a protest.

I got one of those too, but they "don't have a remedy yet."

Hello, fellow Ohioan. Where abouts are you at?
    What are you protesting?

Cooking. If it we're left up to me I probably would have just had some bacon and maybe some toast.

I'm just having a moment.... Cooking to eat. Needing to eat. Cooking... Ugh.

I wouldn't want them lining the driveway, not crazy about mowing around stuff.
I should clean out under these, may do it later
