Still clueless as to why the compressor isn’t engaging, I think it might be bad. I’m just gonna cave and take it to a shop, but today I did change the spark plugs, oil and oil filter, cleaned the throttle body and air filter, did a radiator and coolant flush and refilled it, topped the wiper fluid, changed the wipers out, ran sea foam through the gas to clean the fuel injectors, and the engine is running a ton better. It needed it bad, but for whatever reason I can’t figure out why this compressor clutch won’t engage

 

But really? Lol idk if this is sarcastic so I get grease on my hands when I pop the hood

When I could move it with my shoulder I could feel vibration in the uca, it’s done it before and between greasing my uca spraying Teflon in the uniball and white lithium on the lca bushings/shock shaft and bushings it will quit for awhile. Until a good hard rain

Literally, just a little bit on the u shaped part where the hood latch locks down on the truck. I have fixed a few guys squeaks because of the latch. Pushing on one corner can torque the truck enough for it to happen.

 

@TacoAlaMode I want to get that compressor from you before we both start traveling again. How long are you going to be on this side of the world?

Damn Bart, you cleaned your truck up FAST! I washed my truck yesterday and it's in the garage right now, with a fresh coat of wax on it! Getting ready for new wheels/tires/bumper this week....hopefully!

 

Anyone in here know how to rebuild CV? Found 3 OEM for $100. 2 are in working condition but would want to rebuild them all.

 

You can buy a rebuild kit from Toyota. Jeff has done a ton of them. I’ve got 1 I have to rebuild too.

 

I didn’t think that red mud should stay on for very long.
