Apeman 450 Dash Camera.

I have googled, searched and find nothing. Why does my Dash Camera every other day shut down on its own and tell me to reformat my SD card?

 

Because unfortunately in this life, you typically get what you pay for

I bought a Rexing cam and name brand card, haven’t had a card issue.

 

I found this answer from a different dash cam manufacturer
cards are used within a Dash Cam, they still maintain a warranty. Other SD cards, such as the SanDisk Extreme Pro, void the warranty when used with a Dash Cam. This is because they cannot sustain the constant overwriting environment within the Dash Cam. We only recommend products that we know will provide customer value.

 

I use exactly the card they say to buy so I have no clue why it needs reformatting constantly

 

What error message are you getting?
"Please insert card" ??

Have you tried a different sd card?
How long have you been using the one you have before it started acting up?

 

It's always done it, can you recommend one?

 

The best seem to be the thinkware and they arent cheap. There is a member here that has a thread reviewing a bunch of different ones.

 

I meant sd cards? But I just might buy a whole new camera.

 

Oh.... no, not really. I just buy the scan disc ones for my devices, but do not have a dash cam yet.
