@Flake Boost @Sirnick88 Do yall know where I might be able to find a pulley removal tool that works with the Rotrex pulleys by chance? I am thinking about changing pulleys and am trying to figure out if any old pulley change tool will work or if I need to get one from rotrex

I would imagine URD has them. Page 30 shows it. https://rotrex.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Rotrex-Technical-Handbook.pdf

I would use a belt wrench/ something to hold the exterior pulley itself

    Whoa whoa whoa guys.

There is way too much technical talk going on about the pulley sizes.

The techs do not measure the pulley sizes with calipers nor is it required of them to do so.

The average tech (including myself) can't tell the immediate difference between a 3 inch and a 2.5 inch pulley and when doing a pure VISUAL inspection, as long as there is a pulley there and appears to be connected and configured properly, it will be passed. Even with the EO verbiage, nowhere does it state that the pulley is engraved with bla bla bla numbers and indicates bla bla bla size, that was their bad and so.. it shall be exploited.

That is the way the test out here works.

Good call! I'm going to have to make a small section for documents section.

I've got a lot of these saved in my phone and some on my computer, but everyone should have quick access to it.

Thats the one. I didn't link it due to it being in a currency not USD. Probably shipping from overseas.

Yes, that's the one I was looking at, but wasn't sure if it was specific for their pulleys or if i'd be able to find an alternate one that'd work

Didn't need a tool, when I pulled my friend's. A simple strap wrench perhaps? Been a while.

He has to have them. Or some similar setup. Each of the "stages" require a pulley change.

Good thinking, I will give this a go. I definitely have stuff to make this laying around:thumbsup:
Yeah I have a strap wrench, I just wasn't sure how good it would work. I am kinda worried about having the pulley spin backwards on me and cause other problems since I'm trying to do it myself. May just have to wait and get someone to lend me a hand. Finally got the truck running right after fixing some exhaust components this weekend. I believe a small exhaust leak before the upstream o2 was causing some pinging under high loads. Truck is driving stellar for the first time in 5 months:taco:
Hmmm.. you're right i bet he does. What stage are you running? and how do you like it on your 4.0? I have their mk3 kit on my 4 cylinder and it's pretty impressive

Mark III Stage 3 (C38-91) - Like it so far. As with anything in this. You get a taste and want more. Have to build the lower end soon.

Nice, that sounds like an awesome setup. I was considering doing a c38-91 after rebuilding mine but i think im going turbo now..

is the c38-91 with stock internals pushing it or do you want to upgrade the bottom end so you can turn it up?

Currently the 91 is De-Tuned. 80mm pulley. I could easily tune it differently and keep the same pulley to have it push more power. Wanting the bottom end done so I can tune it UP.

    bottom end,
    1000cc injectors
different tune. Then I should be able to hit the mid 500 whp/

Need to get a look at the PROCHARGER mount they have for the 4.0. It mounts on the drivers side...

Well got the snout cut and smoothflow pulley and hub on. Offset and install went perfect. Couldn't be happier with the pulley and hub for the price. Should have done it the first go around.

Also i have a snout cutter press tool for sale if anyone is interested.
