Nope financing it. Got full coverage. But only gonna take it for light offroading now. Probably gonna get a dirtbike or a quad instead for some trail stuff since I've learned my lesson

I was guessing 8-12ish after researching the parts. Only reason I figure I should repair it is to keep some of the vehicle's value and to protect against corrosion on the panels and cab. Otherwise if I owned it outright I'd totally do most of the repairs myself and wear some of the dents as a badge of idiocy in my offroad (in)experience. :der::rofl: My only experience 4x4ing was in HMMV's.

Yeah 2 new doors since its easier and faster to replace instead of repair. I’m thinking $8-10k. Bummer dude.

Two doors and a bed side. Chances are you can use the rest. Might have some dents or scrapes. The way I see it, as long as I put them there, I’m good with it as long as it doesn’t make a safety issue. I got my truck to use and abuse not to baby.

next time get sliders, and don’t go alone!

It was 7k just to put on a new bumper, grill, fogs and headlights after a deer strike. I would assume that you'll need a new door and side, but Im no body repairman.

    Ouch.

Shit happens. You seem to have a pretty positive attitude about the whole thing and you're taking the jokes in stride, which is good. Hopefully you're able to have your truck repaired and it gives you years of joy.

Smart move. Never made a lot of sense to me to take a brand new truck out and beat the hell out of it on a trail or whatever. I’ve always thought you can have more with with atv’s, sideby sides, dirt bikes or a beater vehicle or something built and only used for Off-road. Not having to worry if you get some battle scars allows you to take more risks and do crazier shit and have more fun:thumbsup:

I've seen vehicles in much worse condition than that (Tacomas included, and including MY Taco after a drunk driver hit it) not get totaled; Your truck is fine! Though, if you can afford to pay for the body work out of pocket I'd do that so your insurance rates don't go up, or your don't waste your accident forgiveness if you have that.
