Toyota New Generation Architecture (TGNA). They are retooling their designs and architecture to be more universal and allow more parts sharing (thus reducing costs). The Tundra, Sequoia, 4Runner, and Tacoma will all be based on the same architecture.

They are also abandoning the V8. The V6 TT will be the largest engine in the next gen Tundra and very possible a turbo 4cyl will be the engine for next gen Tacomas. And of course hybrid as well.

Just saw an article saying the Colorado would be dropping the diesel and V6 as well and just going to a single turbo 4cyl option in a couple years as well.

    I guess we'll all see!

But as others have said, they just did a pretty big refresh on the Tacoma in 2020, so I wouldn't expect much change if any in 2021.

Best of luck to all of your cohorts, I am surprised that there is such a high number of students with issues at such a late stage in their studies. When I went to school, we had about 1/4 of the class drop out in the first semester, but only one or two dropped out after that. Yes, it is surprising that more states have not joined the Compact, it opens a lot of doors.

Just sucks, I drove a righthand drive diesel Hilux overseas. Always wished they had one here, I’m sure it has to do with our emissions.

It’s an accelerated program so only 4 semesters since it builds off having a prior science bachelors degree. We are actually only in our 2nd semester and med surg always has a high wash out rate and our cohort is small so, it’s only like 10-15 people. But the program is intense being accelerated.

Thanks man I really appreciate it. Maybe closer to graduation, when Im job searching, TX was on my list. I'm hanging in there by a thread, but man I'm sure you can attest I swear nursing school is adding like another 10 lbs and taking 10 years off my life and I did shift work for 10+ years active duty, lol.

Yep Toyota even trademarked the I-Force name again for it, its already a staple in the Lexus barn, it'll be a solid engine for sure. I heard they are migrating from the leaf suspension in the back too, excited to actually see it. I saw @deusxanime already answered you on the frame and stuff. Also excited to see what 2024 brings for our Tacos.

I'll be happy just to survive school at this point. I feel like there is nothing left for my brain and not retaining the fire hose being unleashed on us. Almost there, almost there, and med surg / pharm are less than a week from being behind me.

Yep, we got peds, obgyn and community this semester, then some fluff classes in the fall and done. I really enjoyed med surg and patho, our med surg prof just takes joy in failing people, how she introduced herself to us this semester.
