    First day back at the gym for me. DL 5x5 at 405 to break in, tire flips, some frame carries and a few runs with husafell stone.

    It’s a straight trail, just turned around. I don’t know why it has a start and stop icon on it.

    Yesterday I didnt eat right so I didnt do the lifts I was planning to do. Instead I did the following for time:
    800m row @ resistance 4 for all rows
    20 push ups
    20 sit ups, unanchored for all situps
    20 chin ups, jumping assist with slow negs for all chinups
    600m row->15 push ups->15 situps->15 chinups
    400m row->10 pushups->10 situps-> 10 chin ups
    200m row-> 5 pushups->5 situps->5 chinups

    It kicked my ass because I was working hard against the clock. My lats and back are feeling it a bit today but I'm glad I got in there and completed a workout even though it wasnt what I had initially planned to do.

    Gym opens Monday (temporary hours and limiting people inside). I don’t have a squat rack yet so I guess Monday I’ll go to the gym and squat When the rack on Amazon comes Back in stock I’ll grab it hopefully. I’d like to get an elliptical too. Mainly for the lady.

    So I got conned into repainting the kitchen cabinets.

    Spending the day hunched over my workbench filling the wood grain on the doors qualifies as a posterior chain workout.

    I check almost everyday. I don’t know why. I already have it but I just like to watch how quick it comes and goes :rofl:

    I ordered the dip bars which will be here Friday and when I saw them available it said “only 6 left” and by the time I clicked through to the check out screen it was down to “only 4 left” 2020 is wild

    I inadvertently took 9 days off from any sort of lifting. We officially moved on Monday and I did some moving on my own over the weekend before so my last workout was Friday the 17th in my in-laws garage. Before that I did 3 weeks of shitty band workouts and steady state cardio (rowing and biking). Prior to that was about a week of decent workouts with @tacopaulo at his place while he watched after my equipment once they closed the gyms.

    So it’s been over 5 weeks since I’ve had a real workout. Friday night I helped Paulo set up his rack and reclaimed all my equipment and stayed up until about 1am getting my set up right. The 4th iteration of The Den is ready for its inaugural workout tomorrow and I’m uber hype about it. It’s going to be like day 1 in a gym and I’m a complete newb. I can’t wait.

    I am going to kick it off with a 5k on my rower because I was working up to that prior to the move and want to see it through, but after that I’m done with steady state cardio and will be focusing on the big lifts again

    Work tomorrow - one person gets terminated and another suspended. Just what I want to do before I hopefully put my 2 weeks notice in this week.

    I really wish people would under the true severity to electrical safety. Let's just say thank god someone didn't die. UGH

    That's all to report.

    I got hit by 400vdc once on an aircraft... Luckily it was from a capacitor so it just hit and I was able to let go. Burned a scar in my finger tip and one out my elbow, my arm was numb for two days.

    Wouldn't recommend it.

    Yep! Was on a deployment working on an anti collision light on a jet. I didnt have plug leads for the multi meter so I did the old wrap safety wire around the leads trick to get into the cannon plug to check power. Capacitor charged and let go while my hand was touching the lead and fucked me up. Hurt pretty good.

    The majority of construction deaths occur over simple OSHA violations.

    People get too comfortable cutting corners on safety.

    It's bad, very bad. Maybe everyone will change their cut corner ways now. If not, they'll be joining the group soon.

    In other news, I had an in person interview with the initial company that said no... as a refresher this role is a traveling manager job until a permanent manager role opens (usually within 6 months) I will most likely have to relocate - which is fine. Hopefully it's after the wedding.

    Went very very well this time. I am expecting something this week from them... Did I mention managers with this company get Tesla cars to drive? :)
