Red locktite might help. That way they cant get it off without heating it with a torch. (BTW red LT will release if you heat the fuck out of it with a torch)

 

Are you guys running CB or HAM? Curious about getting a HAM license or just sticking with CB long term. Just have Baofengs right now.

 

considering only 1 is missing, it probably fell off, not the best place to keep them, unless your just doing it for looks

 

CB for the truck. Baofeng as a handheld.

CB is still used quite a bit if you are up on Forest Service roads and stuff. Same on logging roads the trucks will be on a certain channel.

HAM has some pretty cool features you can get into like APRS. But I wouldnt say it is in as common usage as CB. Lots of people do use the Baofang radios though

I've been known to "steal" a persons shackle and relocate it to another place on their truck just because I'm an ass.

 

Thanks! That is what I was thinking too. Seemed to be a bit out of necessity. I will have to work on selection next then. Feel free to toss in what your using for a recommendation. I’ll be looking at something reasonable for cost.

Bro your lucky u didn’t have to press your bearings in. I just finished the front and the rear is making noises, so now I’m gonna do the rear since I jus ordered the parts
