This took way longer than I thought it would, but they will be strong mounts.

    Look fine to me.

Maybe more heat and less wire speed? No sense adding wire if it adds no strength to the weld.

Wire cost money. If you can use less to achieve the same results and strength, that means more money in your pocket...even if it's only an extra 6 pack.

Damn, no cool bumper builds for me but I did finally start on a forged/fabricated railing and gate job for one of my coworkers. I have to match what was already existing and original to the house.

Thanks guys! Smithing is fun for sure but it’s a little pricey to break into now that the cost of anvils and tooling has skyrocketed.

I always wanted an anvil, bought one at an auction many years ago for $175 I think I've used it twice.

I had 4 of them but sold one a couple weeks ago to someone wanting to get involved. I’m on the hunt for a 300lb+ size. I have a 50lb, 100lb, and 200lb. I’d love a 450-600 pounder

Hello, just wondering if anyone could help me with wiring a 210v outlet. The outlet is for a welder, Hobart 210mvp. The house I moved to came with 4 wires. Red, black, white, and copper. Research says to use black, red, and copper. And leave the white capped. Just wanted to confirm, thanks.

You are correct. Black and red are both hot, 220. Black and white (neutral) are 110. Shame the neutral will be wasted. Id put a 4 prong twist lock socket in the wall and make a breakout box with a short 10g braided pigtail with 110 and 220 plugs in it. Handy to have an extra.

Edit to add photo. I have no idea if it meets code or not....
