The dash, is now black

 

looks nice. May cut down on reflections in the windscreen, I found I saw the tan dash reflected in the windscreen, put the black carpet on it & no reflection.

 

May or may not. I didn’t really have much of an issue with reflections.. just hated the tan

 

Well, Center stacks back in, radios in (it’ll Come apart again when the camera stuff shows up)

wired the rear speaker outputs to a 4 pin socket (yes it’s an o2 plug) so I can add a under seat sub later


And I also have finally gotten rid of my airbag light by making the seat position sensor work (not as intended but at least it’ll have airbags now)

 

What paint did you use?

How long is the bed? Looks huge?!

 

SEM color coat with their adhesion promoter. And the bed is 8ft long

 

turns out my 1st gen Tacoma bed extender can expand to fit the tundra too. So got the brackets and installed it today. It clears the cap but grazes the lift strut on the passenger side... I’ll address that, but now the 8ft bed is effectively longer when I need it. But it’ll be used mostly to keep shit from flying forward in the truck when I hit the brakes.

 

Looks blue in the photo, but it’s pretty black. Test fit the overhead and all looks good

 

Wow, that came out really well, even the corners look smooth.

 

Yea, my buddy’s father owns a glass shop who also does Reupholstery . I do a lot of work for them so he told me it’s on the house.

 

Still a lot left to do. But man is it coming out good

 

I blacked out my headliner with Rustoleum vinyl spray - it came out pretty good I think. I've used that stuff for floor carpet in my daily and it wears off with things rubbing on the carpet, but it's still better than a lighter colored stained carpet. Link to the sem stuff you used for the dash please? I've got whole interior removed right now so this would be the time to do it.

 

I bought all my SEM from my Eastwood’s store locally (they were the cheapest) the dash was a Can and a half. It’s not a cheap project by any means. But it looks as if it’ll hold up well and there’s no odd smells or anything

Shouldn't this work on the airbag cover as well?

 

It would, but the black is ever so slightly different. Plus I’d like to keep the tan bad just because I have a tan wheel to go with it and try and sell. I’ll locate a black one eventually. Not like it bothers me driving around with an interior 50 shades of tan

 

the anytime camera stuff came in. got it hooked up sans the front camera.. because that wont be here till next week, but everything works, tight fit with the harnesses.. might end up making my own harness to condense the wires behind.


double tap mode button, brings up backup or front cam. seek up or down switches between, turns off after 30 seconds. ot hold seek up and camera will stay on indefinitely. Reverse still works as stock, and front camera comes on when shifting into drive, stays on for 30 seconds or till you hit a certain speed (one reason i hooked up the speed signal)

Still working on blacking out the interior. Just slowing down due to being backed up on work at home. Knocked 2 more handles out though
