Hi all, haven’t posted in a while so I thought I’d say hey.

Just did an oil change and tried out Amsoil. Discovered their quart bottles thread nicely into the filler neck for a convenient funnel that stays put lol. BBE3AEA5-DBB0-40F1-BBEB-D0FBCAD03E66.jpg

Also unfortunately found a new pet. Er....half of one anyway. Half of a bird SOMEHOW got wedged under my wiper fluid tank, found after I saw feathers under my intake. After lots of head scratching, I can only imagine it got slapchopped by the grille and bounced in behind the headlight. That brings my count to 4 bodies this birdmagnet of a truck has stacked up in 2 years -_-9EDFF143-FFFE-4B69-B761-38A720C0CBAA.jpg

Anyway, since the cover was off for bird hunting, I proceeded to clean the MAF and throttle body. Very quick and painless in this truck. Idles much nicer now, let’s see if I can reclaim a few MPGs I seem to have lost since I bought it.

Hope y’all are well. Taco on.

    Sweet man:thumbsup:

I try to pull off the cap retaining ring that breaks off, when you undo the cap from the quart.
That way it doesn’t fall into the head/engine.

I’ve tagged a few birds also. It happens.

Wise idea about the cap ring, good lookin’ out. And yeah, I seem to nail one every few months lol.

I found a nest with 4 baby birds in it under my hood last year when I stopped to get gas. Hadn't driven the truck for a week or two before. Gave them to some lady at the pump next to me so she could take them home and feed them.
