I want one but I’d admittedly hardly ever use it. Don’t really want to listen to music while riding and would rather stay focused on the road. Two way comms are great but I don’t know anyone that I’d ride with enough to justify the cost. And sure as hell not answering a phone call while riding. I would like a decent camera though. I tried my mobius on the bike and it didn’t like the vibration and kept shutting off every few minutes.

Anyone have any recommendations for an action cam that’s small and discrete? I know go pro but I always felt like they’re so damn big to just be a camera. I wish they didn’t stop making that little cube one they had a while back.

Same. 2 of the people I ride with have them but I’ve only ridden with them twice. And they’re not long distance rides where I’d want it anyway. My girl still doesn’t have a helmet and she’s probably not going to be able to afford a helmet and then a comms. I’d rather hear potato than music while riding too.

have you seen the newest gopros? They’re pretty small, definitely not that cube size small they did before but still small and light weight. I might get one from Costco they’re $100 off right now and I got a $200 cash back check from them

Just looked it up. What’s the final price? (It won’t show unless I log in and I can’t since I mooch off my partner’s membership).

I think it’s $289 right now for the Costco package

Its a game changer. Before I would just sing to myself. I don't really ride with anyone, but now if I want to, i can do fm radio, Bluetooth music, or Bluetooth gps maps. Or talk to a person.. Now if i ride with nothing, its just weird.

I got it on ebay for $220 I think. It was definitely less than new. I havent had any issues. Charge lasts a few rides, and the install was easy

I’m not sure if I would be comfortable with a comm system in my helmet. I would be worried that it would cause my attention to be divided and may lead to making a mistake or not spotting a threat. I’m still new to riding, though.

I have a GoPro Hero5 Session. Can’t remember what it costs my wife got it for me. It’s the small cube style, I think it’s pretty nice. I bought a cheap accessory kit that came with every mount imaginable. Doesn’t have a very long battery life though, only around 2-3 hrs.

I hardly think listening to music distracts me. I always ride with music now. Used to have a sena but went back to a uclear motion infinity. Yes ive answered the phone too. Sometimes its hard to talk though but thats probay due to dirt style helmets

I like listen to music when I ride. I am currently using a pair a Sony in-the-ear buds connected to my phone via bluetooth, but would like to step up to a comm setup so I can make phone calls while riding. What is the best comm system for playing music? Preferably one that provides decent bass.

What is the reason for switching back to the uclear?

I have 2 of the GoPro Sessions. They suck. I’ll give one to you. The GP8 is so much better, I use it all the tome now. I also put a mini garmin dash cam on the bike, it’s powered by the USB port, but it’s not the greatest- no image stabilization so it’s shaky as fuck.

I run the original garmin virb elite. It's now discontinued but new ones still pop up on amaazon/ebay from time to time. it's an awesome camera for size and video quality if you can find one. It does require a sound mike though as the default speaker picks up a bunch of wind noise.

You can see it mounted on the left hand side of the 675

The GP Max is sick. I’m definitely getting one next. I have the first version (GP Fusion) and it does cool stuff but the interface is super wonky. I shot this a couple weeks ago with the Fusion..

but the GPMax has all the stabilization of the GP8 and it’s simpler to use.

I always ride with music. It’s just part of the experience for me. I bought a single ear headphone that I use for my motorcycle and bicycle so that I can still (kind of) hear what's going on around me (and also comply with the law in Virginia).

Got rid of the plastic rear fender. Looks better I think, especially without the reflectors. This is a Yamaha accessory and costs a ridiculous $103 new. Found it on ebay used for $15. There are cleaner looking kits out there but I liked this one because it retains the OEM lights and bolts right on. It also has mounts for the turn signals but decided to leave them in the stock location.

I was looking at the GP8 since @uhplifted mentioned them, but if you’re offering a Session I’d like to try it out if you’re serious. PN inbound.

The mobius I use as a dash cam for the truck is great IMO and I’d like something like the for the bike but for some reason it really doesn’t like the vibration and won’t stay on. I haven’t tried helmet mounting it because it needs to be powered but I might try to Jerry rig something as a test run before I invest time to figuring out a more permanent solution for it.

Have you seen the Insta360 R? John Maxwell did a review of it and it’s pretty awesome but $$$ for my needs. Full 360 recording with automatic tracking and full editing capability on the fly via an app.

better sound quality and phone calls imo. also got tired of that stupid boom mic. the only thing i miss is the dial to turn the volume up, the uclear is button press for each adjustment level which is slow
want to get rid of the other session?? i like mine.

I live listening to music while I ride. On my night train I use earbuds and my phone.
On my street glide it has stereo that is plenty load.Even has a setting that the volume lowers when you are slowing down and stopping. Increases volume as you pick up speed.

Before I go through eBay/CL, does anyone want a Shoei RF1200 Helmet (Small) and/or the Transitions visor (changes from clear to tinted)?
