I recently purchased a set of 6112s for the front and 5100s for the rear, on my 2010 DCSB. Before installing, I got the confirmation my frame would be replaced for rust and rear leaf springs also replaced. So, I decided to ask the dealership to install the new shocks at the same time. My intention was to set the 6112s on the lowest setting to achieve a slight bump in the front, but not enough to level the truck, or go into negative rake. My before measurements hub to fender were:

    PD: 20"
    PF: 20 3/8"
    RD: 21 5/8"
    RP: 22"

After new frame, new leaf springs and new shocks, the drivers side lean was pronounced, so I asked the dealer to push the drivers side front 6112 up one notch. The resulting measurements:

    PD: 21 3/4"
    PF: 22 1/4"
    RD: 21 5/8"
    RP: 21 5/8"

The passenger side front gained an unexpected 1 7/8". Much more than the estimated 5/8" the instructions stated for setting #1. I'm not very happy with the result - I was hoping to keep a rake, and tbh am a bit embarrassed of the bro lean. Is this within the normal results of the product? Or, did the dealership mess up the install? I've attached a couple photos of the passenger side front shock setup. Can anyone spot anything amiss?

And thats perfectly acceptable. Everyone has their on tastes and needs. Dont let anyone give you shit for it.
Hell, I was happy running 33's. Then I ran some hard trails that the guys on 35s walked through no issue. But was one hell of a challenge for me. Planned a second trip to similar. Said, nope. Moving on up!
So on metric 34s. 285/75R17. Made it quite a bit easier. However, the performance part did suffer. However is overcome with RPM and clutch.
Snowballed, into me needing to regear unless I drop back down the 33s. Who knows whats in my future?!? Having a change of scenery soon, which will change wheeling parts...soo...

Im sure you'll get a bunch of replies shortly but did you drive off road a bit to let it settle? I just recently added these and they settled about an inch or so after a light romping.

What rear springs did you add, or did you keep the stock leafs? Shocks do not add lift, the springs do that.

also, you should seem some significant settling over the next 24 hours. In the range of 0.5”-1”. My lift and many others were spot on with that specified from Bilstein.

Edit: it seems like you intentionally left back stock and already know the 5100s won’t lift. So just wait for the front to settle.

Thanks for the response. Good to know about the settling. To be honest, I have barely driven it since the work was done as the needle bearing vibration has surfaced as a result. I have the ESGS bearing ordered.

I'm a little disappointed. I have mine on the 3/4 notch and after a few days I measured and only gained .75" on the passenger side and 1" on the driver side. And that's with 1/4" spacers on each side too. Thoughts?

That’s about right. You’re within a quarter inch of the spec without the spacer.

Just saw you’re an access cab. Still Would say 0.1” is really much though in suspension lift.

I guess I expected more than 1" with the spacers and the one side only gained 3/4" with a spacer as well. Seems strange I guess. I didn't want more than 2" but I would have been happy to be around 1.5" at least. Its a bummer because now I'll have to pay to bump it up another notch.

Maybe because the rear is so high? I gained 2-2.5" in the rear. Maybe as it settles more it will be better? I'm not sure if it even works that way.

Looks good comparing front to rear. Slight rake and probably rides like buttah.

You could try 0.5 inch spacer on passenger side and 0.25 inch on driver side?

That's what I was thinking of doing because I dont want to change the ride and it's much easier to do that. Next time I've got it apart. It will make up for the settling

I am torn here and looking for some advice. Has anyone here had experience w/ both the 6112/5160 combo VS a Fox 2.5/2.0 set up? Does the fox ride that much better for street and some off-road use? Bilsteinlifts.com has a pretty solid deal on the Fox 2.5/2.0 w/ Resi and DSC adjusters for $2300. I do like that I know I can mess with the stiffness of the truck by just using the adjusters. Looking for some feedback if anyone has seat time with both set ups by chance. I appreciate it!

As soon as I added the bumper/winch it was lower. Then after a week it sagged some more. The 650# spring brought it back up and it rides much better.

I am on 600 lb springs. I lost a quarter inch in front with a plate bumper and steel ifs. I have the DeMello front bumper which is only around 100 lbs. I expect another quarter inch drop once I add a winch. So the 650s should make it very close to the height before all the metal.
