Hey y'all - little by little I have been making some upgrades to my 2017 sr5. I swapped out the bumpers and got about a 2 inch lift. Next up are the wheels and tires. My buddy recommended the BFGoodrich KO2s and I'm trying to figure out what size to get. 17s should be fine, but wasn't sure if anyone here has a similar lift and has gone with 18s? Any rubbing or anything like that? Any completely different recommendations altogether? Appreciate the help!

Are you asking about which wheel size to go with (17 or 18 inch)? Most people here run 16 or 17 inch for a couple reasons. #1 being they are better for off roading. 18 inches is a lot of wheel which can be easy rashed off roading. More tire is more protection. Secondly, the larger the wheel, the more expensive the tires so keep that in mind. Last, a larger wheel means heavier rotating mass and less mpg. It all depends on what you're going for. If you want functionality stick with 17s.

I use 16" wheels with 285/75/16 Toyo ATII tires (33") w/ 1.75" lift currently (swapping my suspension out again either next week or week after).
I had to do a cab mount chop (CMC) to completely clear the tires at compression.

I have about a 2" lift. I use a 265/70 on a 17 inch wheel. I have falken wildpeaks. The KO2s should be great. I see most folks run a 32 inch tire off 2 inch lifts. I agree with the previous post about the wheel size vs tire size, more tire better ride and better off road.

    KO2s are eh.

everyone uses them but they aren’t great in all conditions. They are also really heavy tires, and only available in E rating if you have 16” wheels, not sure about 17” wheels.

Now, I always suggest Nitto Terra Grapplers G2s. Lighter tire, available in more sidewall options, and look great. I have had no issues with them in dirt, sand, snow, rain, rock... and I am someone that used BFG all terrains for the past 12 years. They are also cheaper.

Depends on your needs. You can get the KO2's in C rated in the 17"
