Make sure your outlook for that money is at least 5 years out. Its going to be a while until they get back close to 2019 levels. And its going to be interesting to see what the airline stocks do on Red Oct 1st when they all downsize and lay people off. You're also not going to see any dividends for a few years.

 

AAL has been on steady decline for almost 5 years. Take that as you will, but better options exist

 

I avoid flying with them at all costs. DAL or UA whenever possible.

 

Ive got some HA too, they have a good hold on the Hawaiian flight industry

Bought some ERI (eldorado resorts) at about $10/share...wondering how long to hold onto it since it's doubled in price haha

That’s the game. Where do you think the price will be in 1-3-6 months? And do you want to wait that long to get however much more you think that will be

 

Depends what your strategy is. Stocks on sale, load up for dividend payouts long term. Or sell and flip for capital gains.

 

Im doing well with the casinos as well. Penn national gaming 250% return in a month is decent hahaha

My total ROI on FUN is going good though. +51% I got in at 19.70 can't see the date easily though.

 

AAL will be fine... at the current price thats a thrift store bargain on a premium brand

Set a sell limit where you're happy with your earnings if you're going for cap gains. For me I would be happy to be out at 2x initial, after that if it goes higher, it goes higher. Depends on the goals and strategies though. I might want to hold some for divs. But at the same time, my stock brokerage account is my hobby money, my investment account is where I care about long term divs, so I might start flipping some.

I’m mostly going for cap gains even if it’s a small percentage. I have a 401k through work but use a Schwab account that I play with. More like “monopoly money” lol.

 

Same boat! 401k + Roth + Investment account first, then I have my monopoly money.

Then yeah, just set a sell limit order and take the gains when you get them, you might miss out on some gains but don't be greedy - that's my philosophy, set your sell limit where you're happy on your gains, and then be happy with the gains when you get them.

 

Yeah I saw they just bought! I might look at that actually.... And yes, I do live in RI. Whether that's a good or bad thing, up for debate
