    ...stuff
I don’t think so, just straps, but I don’t put the straps on very tight. You just have to turn the wheel and get the tailgate deep up the gap between frame and fork. Make sure your cranks are angled right to do this too. Cranks facing the wrong direction will block the bike from sitting down far enough

That’s pretty wild. I though the cranks were solid aluminum at the tip where the pedal screws in...I’m just curious to see the back side of the crank now haha

I don't know if this photo makes me want to ride my bike or ski more?

Been thinking about getting that very same product. Isn't there supposed to be some velcro tabs on the top of it to secure the bike to the pad while in the bed?

    Thanks.

The best tailgate pad I’ve ever had is the EVOC one. Rigid blocks to hold bikes in place and straps to strap them down. Highly recommend!

    The M/L fits the Tacoma?

Yep, M/L. Good coverage on the tailgate too. My biggest pet peeve are ones that look too small for the truck...best pic of it that I’ve got.

    Yes.

But all the resorts in UT are closed, so you only have 1 choice if you don't tour.

I've been thinking about going for some ski tours, but it just feels like bike season to me now. A friend went for a tour last week and said the corn harvest is in full swing. It's definitely volcano ski season right now though!

The new RaceFace T2 Pad is getting pretty decent reviews, as well. Looks like a pretty solid option.
    https://www.pinkbike.com/news/first-look-race-face-t2-tailgate-pad.html

My only complaint with the Yakima Gatekeeper pad that I'm using is the velcro on the camera flap is weak af, and it's slightly annoying to fold/tuck that flap just to use the camera.

So I committed to a 30 Day riding challenge to keep me sane during the last month of Shelter in Place. The first week was easy, riding some of my favorite trails in Corner Canyon that were just opening up. But this last couple days...man, what a slog. Turns out that after riding your favorite trails 19 days near continuously (ventured out on the weekends to break it up) you really burn out. Thankfully the end is in sight, and I'm closing it out with a Gooseberry Mesa ride this weekend!

This challenge would be way easier in the fall when everything is open, instead of the early season when stuff is still snowed in. I'm just hoping Summit County/Park City lets us valley people in this summer at this point.

Nice, I've committed to a few personal riding goals too over this whole break thing. While I'm not riding everyday, I am riding at least 3 times a week which is definitely helping me reach those goals.

    Good job!

I only had a handful of rides in before I started this challenge, but based on my Strava times, the results are showing. I cut my time on a particular trail loop by a full 1/3. And I've upped my average speed numbers by a full mph as well from 6ish to 7ish

We have a few roadside ski route options on Pikes Peak that I'm going to get on this week. Just saw an email from Vail resorts on credits for next season.
