Cleaning Weathertechs

Anyone have any tricks to clean and blacken weatherteh floormats? These are mine after scrubbing and Meg QD interior.

 

Soap and water, soft scrub brush. Then I put on 303 Protectant. Keeps them looking somewhat new.

 

I just cleaned mine ( Husky's) a few mintes ago with the same soap and brush I use to wash the truck with. Then I completely rinse
the brush out and soak it for more than 48 hours before drying it . Mine are grey so it seems to be more like the color the dirt
dries out to look like. when clean they are excellent.

 

Op you need a stronger cleaner and a stiffer brush. I had a very similar case to you. Looked identical. I used a powerful degreaser and a small very stiff brush. Scrubbed the fronts for about 20 minutes each. Then finished with 303 protectant and they look brand new.

 

X2 on needing a stronger cleaner. I picked up Weathertech’s cleaner and protectant for giggles. I have to say I like their protectant the best as it keeps the floor mat from being slippery.

 

Use a good APC and a stiffer bristle brush, that should do the trick. Use a protectant on those floormats ONLY if it doesn't make the surface slick. Slick floormats can be a bugger! LOL

 

I use Meguiar's all purpose cleaner with a stiff brush to clean them. Once they're clean, I spray 303 on a microfiber towel and apply a thin layer on the floor mats. Makes them a little slippery, but they look good as new.

 

I use Purple Power sprayed on them, scrub, rinse. They ain’t perfect but that’s okay....it’s sort of a theme with my truck.

 

I've tried and tried to get mine clean (gray) and have come to accept the fact I'm just gonna get em dirty again tomorrow.

 

It's much easier to clean floor mats however you choose than to deal with dirt embedded carpet.

That LA Awesome stuff from the dollar store worked on mine. But it took a LOT of hard and focused scrubbing. They look like new now after some A303.

 

I tried Meguiars D10101 APC plus a scrub brush with good result.

I got better results with Zep Citrus Degreaser. Anything stains left over I use a magic eraser to remove the rest of the stain.

Eventually I'm want to try a drill brush.

 

I rinse off my WeatherTech floor mats, spray Simple Green cleaner on it, scrub it with a stiff brush, rinse them, and dry off with a heat gun & towel.

 

Chemical guys degreaser. Soak for 10 minutes. Scrub like hell and then rinse with pressure washer. Works great.

 

I've used Amazing Roll-Off to clean my Weathertechs with great success. Works well on tires too if you are so inclined.

 

Dawn dish soap, a medium stiffness brush and some elbow grease.
