Did 4L actually engage? These are mechanical parts that actually do things internally, if it isn't lined up just right 4L won't engage.

4L is engaged when the light stops flashing and all the traction control and ABS lights illuminate. Crawl control requires the transfer case to actually be done, not just the knob in position

    This.
Don't do it on asphalt; you're not going to like the result.
I've found crawl shines as a off-road downhill descent tool.

CC is awesome on the right terrain. I use it mostly for descents... You can pretty much sit back and look at the views while letting the truck jerk it self down the hill.

I’m guessing before you shift to 4lo you put the transmission in neutral. Then in gear then activate CC

Are you talking " able to afford a $40-$50k vehicle" or "able to BUY a $40-$50k vehicle?" Because, they're not the same thing.

Let me save you from reading that tedious owners manual. Self driving cars for everyone! Then nobody will have to know what to do. Nobody will get stuck in places they shouldn't be. Think of all the money that can be saved not decommissioning roads. Just remove them from the auto navigation programmed into all registered vehicles. My god the future will be glorious.

Stop me if they made an episode of Black Mirror about this.

Was out on the Rubicon Saturday and used it several times.... when you’re climbing the front end over a rock or boulder and picks up a front tire, the truck continues to pull as if it were locked.... only time I use it and it works and gets me through EVERY time....

    Garbage in any other situation

F**k!! I've tried for the past two hours to get my PreRunner into 4L. All I wanted to do was some 4 wheel donuts in the Dairy Queen's purdy asphalt parking lot.

    Off to read the manual.

It doesn't have anything to do with saving time.

It’s not that it isn’t easier, it’s that doing it yourself isn’t as lazy, lazy.

WTF is crawl control? Is that like training wheels for off roaders? Are these not crawl control?
