The off roads come stock with 16" wheel. I wanted to go the skinny tire route (255/85r16 or 255/80r17) and found that I had more options of vendors and sizes for tires on a 17" wheel. otherwise I would have kept my OEM wheels.

I would say they turned out really well ( see photos ). I used 10-24 bolts with wing nuts to attache the mounts and it's holding well, but if something falls, it'll stay in the bed. lol

The only knock I'd give them is they only give you 4 plastic anchors for the bolts to secure against, so you may need to make some on your own or use some washers.

For the price, I think they're well worth it and the medium sized ones are exactly like the Quick Fists I bought 4Wheel Parts last fall. That re-assured me that my gamble was right.

You use a label maker that prints on heat shrink tubing. I have a Dymo Rhino 4200 which works well.

    So...

I was putting in some new bulbs per arguably the best post on TacomaWorld - bought the Philips H9 for low beams and the GE Nighthawk Xexon H11 for the foglights.

The H9 Philips went in easily with the accompanying adapters and a quick clip/shave of the plastic on the H9 bulb for the H11 to H8 adapters.

However, for the life of me I couldn't get the GE H11 in the foglights. After trying on both sides, I noticed the housing and the bulbs are H16.

Is this a known thing? Are H11 not compatible for H16? I put the old bulbs back in for now.

I didn't have any difficulty installing Nokya NOK7618 Hyper Yellow H11 bulbs in my H16 fog light housings. I'm guessing that there's some variation between H11 bulb dimensions. :notsure:

I have no money for new wheels. I can afford Plastidip, so that's what I'll be doing.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
18 months in and I'm still running stock wheels. I don't really care for them, but for the money, it's way down on the list. I had to replace the tires after a deer strike, so I went with AT's. Next time around the wheels get swapped, just because I really don't care for them.

Soooo..Lol. Fabricated a bracket for the CB antenna. Went with fender mount. Sooner or later I'm fabricating a bumper so I'll have like 20 more antennas up there too, just like those cool guys from Australia. Lol. (and they really are cool guys)

Nice sunny day today, so I washed the truck even though it's supposed to rain for the next three days. It looks so nice!

An updated pic of my skid plates installed. Also installed Easy Eagle 3D Metal tailgate letters and blacked out the emblems with overlays from Runnin4tacos.com since it was finally warm enough.
