I have a Century brand but the struts are 10mm ball sockets, IIRC. I found some site online that listed all the compressed/extended lengths, size/style ends, and weight rating. I ended up getting a set of 4 for some kind Jeep. The two longer ones fit my topper door and the two shorter ones were just right for the hoods of pair of mk4 VWs I have also. All four were around $20+/- from fleaBay. The ones I used for topper actually open it about 3" higher and are stronger. The hinges are held on with pop rivets but I do have some m3 bolts and nyloc nuts in case they wallow out more.

Mine is a century too, trying to find a side window that opens. Emailed them the other day and haven’t heard back.

Good luck on that. Mine are just sliders and they leak some. I’ve sealed them as best I can with some Shoe Goo and gave up. There were some links provided several pages back of a few places that could do what you wanted. But it wasn’t cost effective for me to fool with it.

My drivers side leaks. I haven’t attempted to stop it yet.

It’s fairly simple to remove the complete window frames. I had considered doing this and reseal them to see if it’d help. Just so long as you don’t tear the rubber grommet.

Glad I came across this thread! I remember making fun of my dad's old F250 when I was a kid because he had a shell on it. But they are incredibly practical and for how I use my trucks I can't imagine not having one. Here are a few of the shells I have owned over the years...

2000 Ext Cab with a shell from a Ford Ranger that fit half decent for a $50 shell. I believe I sold it for a $100 a year later even!

    IMG_0904.jpg

Later I found a display model ARE Z series for sale at a local dealer for that same truck for only $400 brand new! Different color red but the price was right.

    IMG_2184.jpg

When I purchased my 2001 Double Cab it already had a nice color matched ARE Z series that I built a custom roof rack for. No reinforcements for the roof tent simply distributed the weight as best as possible. Probably ran a few thousand miles on washboard roads and bumpy trails with no issues.

And finally I have a brand new ARE V series on the way for my 2012! Can't wait to post some pictures of it installed in a couple weeks.

Picture borrowed from a fellow TW member but this is the same shell I ordered except I opted for White Aluminum Doors on the sides.

Should look similar to this Tundra shell but if anyone has the Aluminum Panel Door option Id love to see some on a Tacoma.

Thanks to @pablotaco for this idea. Found a 4Runner on the local classifieds being parted out and went and got the roof rack off of it. Needs a repaint but I’ll take it for $50

What’s the difference? I don’t see an adventure canopy on the website.

I didn’t realize there were so many pieces to a roof rack off of a 4Runner.

Just had the Leer 100XR installed. I have a Prinsu rack sitting in the garage, but Leer installed the rails on the wrong sides. Dealer is working with Leer to see if they'll allow them to swap them and retain the warranty.

That is a lot. I don’t think I broke them down that far.
Looks a lot more beat up than the one I found but some paint will cure it.

What would you pay for this shell for a 3rd gen?

Left outside to the elements, 1 broken side window, scratches on the roof (Would repaint to match my truck anyway), and needs to be rekeyed. Leer 100r or 100xr maybe?

Waiting on more pictures from the seller tomorrow. I was thinking of offering $350 but don’t want to insult the seller. Listed at $1,000 which is way too much for the condition.
