I also got the special apr they were offering at the time along with the huge money off. It was a brand new generation van so I did pretty good.

Anyone from CO post their deal in here? I had a friend who works for the dealer run some numbers for me with the friend discount on the 0% and they were raving about the discount and how the dealer was losing a grand on the truck but it still only came out to 9% off MSRP- either it’s a Colorado premium or the deal wasn’t that great...

I got it last week so no 0% like they are offering now but I got 1.9% so I guess its good enough! I was more worried about them stopping production and us running out of stock like they did a few years ago with all the floods.

Bought a Taco on Saturday. Live in FL, bought from MS which is the first state in the next region over.

Apparently there are 5 distributors for Toyotas in the USA. I'm learning as I go around.

Anyway, those guys in MS (Gulf States Toyota) had deals that the FL dealers (Southeast Toyota) couldn't touch, or maybe they just didn't care.

So might be a good idea to check the next district over if you aren't getting the numbers you are expecting.

    Gulf States Toyota Inc.
    Southeast Toyota Distributors Inc.
    Mid-Southern Toyota Distributors Inc.
    Mid-Atlantic Toyota Distributors Inc.
    New England Toyota Distributors Inc.

Anyway, I did the internet thing, got just what I wanted, they over-nighted the paperwork, and then they delivered the truck to me two states over.

I can't complain about any of it to be honest, and its super hard to put on the high pressure sales pitch over email.

No kidding... did you lose some of your deal in shipping to have them ship the Tacoma to you?

I was going to fly up and drive it home, they drove it over, didn't charge me a thing. It was their idea.

Granted, this could be the whole small town dealer going the extra mile to get sales vs a big city dealer who thinks there is a new idiot walking through the door every minute.

Either way, internet shopping is the best way to go. If they don't want to give you the details until you go in, then just tell them you aren't interested. There are lots of dealers and they all have the same Toyotas.

First off, a big thank you to everyone that has posted pricing or information to this thread. It really helped me.

Today I purchased a New Tacoma!! 39yo and this is the third vehicle I have ever purchased, so I’m by no means a pro at the dealership. My second vehicle was also new back in 2010

    MSRP was $39,161
    Sale price. $34,911
    Total discount $4250
    Percentage 10.8%
Total after tax and fees $37750

I may not have gotten the deal of the century but I feel good about the deal I got.

I was a little nervous but this may possibly be the best new car dealership experience ever.
The OTD prices was negotiated via in 3 emails (pending test drive and agreed upon finance terms).

I show up at the dealership today and the sales man met me outside and handed me the keys for a test drive. Returned from the test drive and texted the salesman I was back. He came back and asked me how I liked it and if I was ready to sit down to purchase at the price we agreed on.

I sit down signed about 5 papers and he tells me the Finance Manager would be out shortly to finish up. 15minutes later he comes out with a iPad. I was a little worried because you always here the finance guys are where they make money and that they manipulate numbers and such. There was no talk about add ons, extended warranties or even gap insurance. Just a file on a iPad that said total amount financed $37750. 60 payments at $629. I signed and he handed me the keys. I spent a total of 2 minutes with the finance manager.

    Thanks again everyone!

Same here. I’m in GA and I drove up to Tennessee to pick up my truck. It was outside Southeast Toyota. The accessories were cheaper and the deal was much better than anything I could get within SET and they had the exact truck I wanted. The whole process was smooth and easy. Started out getting info over email and finalized everything over the phone. I put a deposit down and they held the truck until I could drive up to get it.

The email process was actually pretty easy and no hard sales pitch. Congrats on the new Taco!

SET is known for some crappy pricing and they like to add a lot of port option garbage like paint protection (crummy sealant job if even applied) or they rename the toyota care and actually charge you for it, forget what ive seen it called or disguised as. But ya Toyota in the US is ran by those mafia regions, with dealer bookies.

Same for me. I live in South Carolina about an hour from Myrtle Beach. Checked around everywhere within a few hours and couldn’t find any deals and no movement on price hardly at all. Some dealers wouldn’t even give me a price but wanted me to drive three hours away before telling me anything to go to their dealer first and come in person. Screw that.

I didn’t want to deal with it so someone mentioned in Virginia there were some good prices so I googled Virginia Toyota dealers and found some. I sent in a carmax Toyota Tacoma deal I found and they beat that price and I thought the carmax one was good. Also didn’t have to even talk to anyone on the phone until I went over the financing with the finance manager. Had a great experience and a great deal with Alex at Koons Toyota Vienna. Should be getting it in this week sometime as it’s currently shipping out to me.

If anyone is looking for a good deal they will give you one.

My truck came with what appears to be xpel paint protection on the hood, front bumper, rear quarter panels, behind the door handles, mirrors, door edges, and a few other places. Is this standard or a special package I didn't know about?

Only weird thing is that there is no protection on the painted part of the grill, which would be the thing that gets the most abuse.

Its not called out on my options list, so I'm trying to figure out is this is standard now on the Tacos.

Its a common port installed accessory but could also be dealer added, if you jump on the build config you'll see it, toyota calls it paint protection or whatever, the rear quarter panels ones are factory spec for all the trucks.

I'm in California, but here's the deal I got using Costco:

Double Cab Long Bed TRD OR 4x4
    Options:
    Carpet Floor Mats
    Technology package
    Blacked out emblems
    Black "TACOMA" lettering on tailgate
    LED Daytime running lights
    Mudguards

    MSRP: $40,081
    Dealer Discount: $37,899
    Costco Auto Discount: $36,755
    Out-The-Door: $40,391 with 0% 60mo financing.
Had I gone with the $1750 rebate, it would have been $35,005 + taxes and fees ($38,825-ish OTD as dealer calculated).

I feel like I got a good deal considering the financing. I tried to haggle them down from the Costco pricing, but they were firm. Their stock was down to 3 TRD Off Roads and they claimed to not be receiving any additional inventory until July-August months due to factories slowing down output.

    None.
In PNW, just got mine on Saturday.
    2020 TRD OR DCLB Cement
    premium package
    Technology package
    Bed lighting package
    MSRP 44,147
    Discounted to 40,500
    0 percent for 60 months.

Overall happy with the deal, my credit union would have been 2.99, so saved about 3k in finance charges over the life of the loan. Dealer was busy despite covid, they had full appointments for both the days I was there, because only two sales people were working. Service dept had about 10 people in the waiting room.

Got a 2020 TRD PRO a few weeks ago with only $400 of added option, bed mats, door protector, Mud flaps and the flimsy net. Im saying this because most PROs come with unnecessary options like the predator steps, dashcam etc thats bumps up the price. And did not really like (California Price)Anyways.. i negotiated for $50k OTD. Got the deal. ( was it a good deal? I really don't know) most dealerships I've reached out to average $56k not including taxes and other stuff. I attached the spec for the truck i got.

TRD PRO’s from what the dealership told me are not included in the special financing low to 0 APR’s. Luckily i got pre approved with my credit union and got a 1.9%.

thanks to stay us being quarantined. I managed to make unnecessary shopping expenses for the new Taco and awaiting for them to arrive.

Mods: so far i got the extra lift on.(1/2 shim and AAL) 285/75/16 KO2’s, caliraised bumper slim lights with OEM switch, bed brackets, vynl door sills and OEM taco tonneu cover

A week after i got the truck. The biggest surprise was finding out that most(automatic only) Tacoma’s or maybe all models have the remote start. And remote start app! Which was a huge plus! Dealership never mentioned it to me and had to find that out on my own. Hopefully for everyone who got the 2020’s already know this if not.. you all should try it out! ( click lock 3 times, on 3rd click hold until the hazards start flashing then let go)

SET lost my business as well because my truck was “Special”. Whatever drove 6 hours, doesn’t bother me got to drive the new toy home and got what I wanted with a deal I could live with. Not as good as some I have seen on here but good enough. Didn’t get hosed that’s for sure.
