Hey guys, I have searched and read all the posts concerning LED installs and have not found any reference to a 09 install.

I got my LEDs from superbrightleds.com along with the only flasher they listed for late model Toyotas. Well, the flasher is not correct for this application. I have attached pics of the OEM flasher in case anyone has found a replacement.

I wrote superbrightleds and will post any response I get from them here. In the meantime I was hoping someone here has come up with the correct flasher.

    Thanks for any help/suggestions.

    Keith

I don't have this, but I think the resistors are needed in order to get it to flash correctly.

Yeah, it has the DTRL... I'm not really concerned with loosing it... or maybe I'll just sell the LEDs to someone here. I just got them to be different and spend my money!

I ordered teh same thing from superbrightled and was disappointed because of the mis-match on the flasher fit. didnt contact them.

So i did order the resisters from superbrightleds and used them on the rear signal lights... they work like charms.

as for the front signals im not sure what you would need.

I will see what they say about the flasher... maybe have to go the resistor route too if I want to make it work.

    What LEDs did you get?

will the LEDs flash like normal if you use the resistors? I'm using the Super Brights for tail lights and rear turn signals

-On the rear signal lights i used the 18-LED Tower Type 3156 or 7 Wedge(RED)

-Then i used the T13 & 921 Miniature Wedge Base bulbs (Cool White) for reverse lights (no resistor required because reverse dont blink)

    Jimmyjohn
Yes the resistor (one on each side) made them blink at normal speeds.

I figured that was probably the case... Have to decide if I want the LEDs bad enough to cut up the wiring (to install resistors).

    Thanks for the response.

That is the same flasher I got from superbrightleds.com and will not work on my 09 with DTRL.

I will post when I get a reply from them so we can have a final answer for everyone in the same situation.

Here is the response I got from superbrightleds.com

"We don't carry a replacement flasher for yours. You can try the local auto parts store and if they don't have an LED flasher then the heavy duty model of your stock unit should work."

I haven't looked for the "heavy duty model" of my stock flasher yet. Not sure what direction I'll take, install dummy loads or leave the stock bulbs in.

cool, so are you running LEDs in the rear or both front & rear?

and not sure it matters, but are your front park lights/turn signals on ALL the time with an 07?

There are 2 different ones. One for 2 LEDs and one for 4 LEDs.
