What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I'm trying to make an 1/8" front shock spacer for a 2nd gen tacoma. Can anyone provide me with dimensions if they have a spacer laying around?

 

Nope nothing fancy just a shark vacuum with a brush tip to massage the carpet(tricep/forearm workout) and the following carpet cleaner with generic carpet cleaner and a hose attachment. It allowed me to do all of the floor, the front and back seats, and the headliner. Don’t mind the caveman feet.

 

I have the same color Shark Rocket as you. My hose rip in the motorized brush twice. Shark replace the motorized head twice under warranty.

When you put the seats back, do you have to torque the bolts back to factory specs?

 

get a roll of cheap duct tape, wrap it sticky side out around your hand..I had a set of wet okle's and that was the ez way I found to de dog hair them...

 

Yeah “factory spec” called turn them tight. Lol they will be fine. I have been taking seats out my trucks since I can remember and I’ve never had any issues.

 

A lint roller works well also.

I just picked up a Milwaukee 1/2 impact. I was planning on using the impact.

My main concern was if the truck was involved in an accident.

 

Welded the front flare holes shut too. I made the decision to bedline my entire truck, but not in the traditional way. I’m choosing white, and “smooth”. The white will allow me to not have to do door jambs, under the hood, etc and if I don’t do a perfect job, it’ll be unnoticeable. It’ll be subtle yet super durable.

You and me both! At the rate this project is going, I expect to be 100% finished by the end of May. I’m just slowly chipping away at it.

No, those got destroyed. They were pretty brittle and just disintegrated when removing them.

 

Looks way better than the heavy textured stuff.

I wrecked the shit out my old truck and no issues. Seats never moved lol I don’t tighten much with an impact just bc I want to be able to wrench them off.

 

I completely agree. Makes vehicles look like they belong in a demo derby imo. What manufacturer are you going with for that smooth finish?

Was the cab lifted from the accident or from being lifted by something to get it into where you want it?

Durabak. It’s who I used when I bed lined my floor in lieu of carpet. It’s a more expensive product at $150 a gallon but it is High quality stuff.

I would outline the hole with a series of tack welds. That would thicken it up a bit. Then I could tack onto the tacks with ease until the hole was shut. Each one took about 4 min and there’s 9 per corner.
