This happened to me with my SixC cranks. $400 cranks toasted. Local bike shop said it happens all the time with raceface carbon

I didnt read the email super close but looks like 20% off next seasons pass and they are offering some form of insurance the season goes past 4/6/21 at the "home" resort you designate.

I could be wrong but thats how i understand it

EDIT: and on a more bike related note, thoughts on adding a hard tail to my bike line up? I have a 2018 trance 2 and a 2019 capra but am kicking around the idea of a nukeproof scout or something similar.

Funny enough, I've never skied PC. But mainly because the best snow is on the other side of the ridge in the Cottonwoods. PC def has the ski town vibe going for it though, we don't get as much of it on this side unless you know where to look.

That was my first time skiing UT. It was pretty awesome. I'll definitely go back but I think I'll check out snowbasin and alta next time.

Snowbasin is underappreciated in my mind. Esp when Pow Day FOMO kicks in and the "red snake" takes over the canyons, its actually quicker to get up there.

Alta is my happy place, and I am hella sad that I only got a handful of days in

I've heard nothing but amazing things about either of them. and they both blow new england skiing out of the water. I was sad to hang my skis up early but I still got in 6-7 back country days and probably 20ish resort days.

Damage report was a blown crank arm. Took it down to Mojo Wheels for those of you in the Denver metro area. A new NX crank was $105. I asked how much for something stronger. Went with a race face atlas and an oval ring. I don’t know what they are doing to get my old saints out but they believe it’ll be serviceable. Ended up finding a set of unused boomslangs for 50% off.

So with everything else that needed doing, parts etc it’s around $400.

I was going to offer you some slightly used GX cranks for $20 or a good 12er. Let me know if you need 'em. I'm in town today and tomorrow.

Congrats man, you're so close! Totally rad you were able to go so far.
Is the south starting to open back up? I thought there was no overnighting out there right now.

St George area never had an "official" travel restriction like PC or Moab still does, but we stayed local anyways. Now with all the state parks opening back up, it seems like authorities have decided it is acceptable to do so again to some degree. Most of the restrictions we the east of the Wasatch half of the state.

That said, we are trying to keep contact local if at all possible, so all gas and groceries are gonna get procured here in SLC pre-departure. Thankfully, the way we keep our trucks, its pretty easy to do so.

Enough Gas and water for a week:

do you guys wear knee/elbow pads etc when you ride? do you wear them depending on where you ride? what about full face helmets?

after the spill yesterday, and the annoying pain in my elbow and knee today...I'm considering pads...but literally nobody wears them where we ride. would 100% look like a goober on the trails haha
