Yeah I've heard CSC was used as an excuse when asked about it. I'm not sure why they wouldn't be able to figure out a way to have both with some logic in the computer - when remote start signal is received, make sure vehicle is in neutral and parking brake is on before engaging the ignition/starter. Is there anything else that is needed that CSC interferes with?

In the end though, like you said, I'm willing to make a few sacrifices to still be able to drive a MT.

Congrats! Hopefully they'll get the truck to you quick!

I checked with several dealers in VA. They actually had much more of a variety in trucks, trims, options, etc. They all had pretty good prices, but couldn't get where I wanted to be on trade. I don't mind road trips, so I was willing to drive to get what I really wanted. It was tough to get numbers from the SET dealers. Most wanted me to come to the dealership. A few never sent me an actual price and one wouldn't talk about anything but leasing. I may have had to drive to TN to get my truck, but the whole process was super easy and I honestly never felt stressed or pressured.

Yeah, they have Toyoguard which is basically 2 extra oil changes and 4 tire rotations and a couple other things for $699. Now they're adding some kind of touch pad entry system that's like $349. They already mark up all of the other accessories. It's really annoying.

    Thanks guys.
I do believe that this auto-start feature along with some other features goes away after a certain time period like 6 months, unless you pay an annual subscription. (At least that is what my salesman told me)

I had a 2015 Honda Civic SI, it had pushbutton start no auto start because well its a manual. I know they can jerry rig remote starts on manuals, but I wouldn't want it. Almost always leave my truck in gear and that wouldn't work out to well.

Hey guys new here, but have been stalking this thread for quite some time. I have 2 dealerships essentially offering me the same price of $35k out the door (which includes the 1750 rebate) for a:
2020 TOYOTA TACOMA Double Cab TRD Off Road V6 AT
    MSRP: $39,313.00
    Discount: $4,446.60
    Rebate: $1,750.00

    Price before tax/fees: $33,116.40

Pretty base model: BLACK TAILGATE INSERT (PPO) ,DOOR EDGE GUARDS (PPO) ,BED LIGHTING KIT (PPO) ,MUDGUARDS (PPO) ,HARD TRI-FOLD TONNEAU COVER ,LED DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS & FOG LIGHTS ,CHROME REAR BUMPER ,Keyless Start,Bluetooth Connection,CEMENT, FABRIC SEAT TRIM (FD) ,CEMENT ,TRD OFF ROAD PACKAGE

I haven't even haggled yet, and in no rush to buy. Will be trying to get to 33k out the door, is this doable?

I would have thought that toyota would remove the key and still have a push start button inside the Cab for them Manuals.

I’m going to have to follow up on it then. At least have it permanent on the key fob start. It would be an awesome feature to have.

Not sure $33k OTD is doable but you could always try. What's your states taxes?

Yea, it does turn off. But its a perk if you live in the cold area’s or hot and you’re parked outside and getting ready to head out. You could get all cozy. It doesnt make sense to turn off for safety since the car locks during the process but i cant complain really. Still cool to have.

Probably isn’t doable, your out the door price is essentially 16% off msrp which is an awesome deal. I pretty much got the exact same truck except without the tonneau cover for 13% off msrp.

Nothing wrong with haggling it down for an extra dollar. Or if anything ask for extra accessories of what you don't have. do research on them accessories upgrades that you want. More than likely, theres a good chance they’ll give it to you. If they dont, tell them you’re going to see your other dealer. And that usually seals the deal.

Thats not bad. I recently bought an sr5 v6 that had a msrp for about a $1k more. Best price i got from a very large volume dealer was $34.7k before tax's and fees were added on. It was nearly $2k lower than they wanted here locally.

I guess this would be a reason, but why can’t I just push a button instead of turning a key. It would be nice to not have to pull the key out of my pocket.
