On the previous page of this thread another member (@TacoInCostaRica) is having the same issue. Not sure what it is. Do you have an access cab or double cab?

Just installed my lights in the access cab. Very simple even while its raining. Got them around lunch so I decided that I couldn't wait to install them since I have nothing else to do.20200427_124741.jpg

First thing I did was put the lights in then switch and relay. Of course, I went to put the switch in I see that who ever put the "dead" cover in installed it upside down! Come on. Was the person blind??? It is not hard to see the notch cut out for the notch to go in... Not huge deal. Just made it a pain to remove it. Below are some pics of this.:duh:o_O:der::facepalm:

    Relay installed.

    After.

    Luckily, the lights work!

I will get some night shots when it gets dark.

Well, that is odd... you have the lights and the relay already installed... and since you have a double cab you probably already had the switch and it is most likely already connected, so . Maybe it is a fuse not installed like suggested above? Do you have the cargo light and the switch like Blackbeard83's pics int he same place already installed?

If you had to add the Cargo Lamp Relay then you might have to add the fuse also...

Yeah so weird... @Aleaayala are the cargo lights on your third brake light working? If not then hopefully its just the fuse like @caribe makaira just posted.

Ok, on page 6 of this thread I posted the install instructions from SE toyota that I got from the TIS last weekend... on page 6 of those instructions, at step 5 it says to check if the cargo light switch is installed in the ccab (crew cab) if so, go to step 8 which indicates to install a relay which shows the picture that you showed... strange. I do not have a crew cab and did not already have the switch or relay already installed, so I am just guessing here, but it sure looks like a relay has to be installed per the instructions even if you have the cargo light.... If the Cargo light is working, i would think it has a fuse and is installed, but could be wrong.

Sorry to not be of any other help, but I would check those instructions again and look for a second relay and check the fuse. Maybe it is a different relay number than the one in the instructions???

Exactly the same issue here with my trd sport 2020. It seems it has something to do with them being sports, other trims don't report this. I'm pretty used to deal with electrical issues due to my work, but here I'm puzzled as all the hardware seems to be present and the cargo light works fine. As Carib says, the only thing might be a fuse or something missing. I don't want to believe this is something missing in the software of the ecu cause that will place me out of reach and I don't want to go to the stealership for this! I believe @Parras reported this same issue with a TRD sport 2020!

If you had a buddy electrician, he could place a wire tracer (tone) to find where the bed light wire goes into the driver's kick panel connectors...

The wire from the bed circuit "should" be attached to pin 14 on IE1. (Driver's side kick panel)

Ordered from here, I recommend them.

Installed in less than 15mins. Super easy plug and play. TRD off road had hot wiring ready to go. One comment, the taillights are removed with a good amount of force. Pull straight back and they will pop out, I was a bit worried I was going to snap something.
