Had a guy come over to look at my fence and first thing I did was stick my hand out for a shake...

    He was like o_O

    Slipped my mind too!

last weekend we were at Walker Ridge in Williams just about an hour north. Lots of folks out there camping, we kept things responsible with plenty of distance.

Looks like El Dorado county shelter in place is lifted Thursday. Hopefully that finally means camping and traveling into the sierras is permitted! :fingerscrossed::yes:

Don't think the county has a say what happens on federal land. Keep an eye on the page and their website. Current notice says closure extended to Apr 30. Let's hope they don't extended it again.

It's just developed campgrounds that are closed. And I think it's important to note that the extended seasonal closures are weather related, not because of the virus. The conditions are still a little sloppy and the Forest Service doesn't want us out there tearing up the roads or making new bypasses to go around fallen trees, snow drifts, etc.

Just remembering that last year we couldn't even make it out to Jackson Meadows till early June because of the snow pack.

/sigh I really wanted to get in some snow camping:annoyed:

Got a lot of winter camping to make up for next year.

I’m headed up north to lake county north of Clearlake this weekend with a couple buddies to camp some BLM land find some trails. Hoping that we don’t run into any trouble from law enforcement.... imo with three of us out in the middle of the first, I can’t imagine we will see any trouble
