True but I'm going up almost and inch and a half in size that means the tire will spin less to make full rotation

 

It'll take more to get it up to speed, it'll be wider (more friction) and weigh more. You'll probably lose 0.5-1 mpg

 

So the only way to get gas mileage is to never go over 65 mph cause at 65 I'm at 2500 rpm

 

Pretty much. Aerodynamics start playing a part at 70 mph, too. Your rpm is too high right now, anyways. You might pick up some mpgs with bigger tires, because of your 5.29 gears, though. Only way is to change tires and find out.

 

I bet, things are def different now, Don't see things completely going back to normal.

 

def expect some MPG loss could be closer to 1-2 mpg. its going to feel like a dog and will want a re gear if you do not have it. My last tire change went from 285/70/17 to 315/70/17 similar in size to your change. I swapped to 4.56 before I had made the change (wasnt sure i was going to go up) and I still felt it a good amount (truck is also heavy). Are you going E or C range? I may have missed that. I have E and they are heavyAF.

 

That's what I'm hoping the guys in 3 gen taco say tacos say they gain mpg with 5.29 gears I was talking to one of the guys on the 5.29 thread he said he went from 17mpg to 21mpg on 33s

 

And the ones with second gens and automatics do 4.88

 

5.29 will be way too much on a 2nd gen though. 4.88 if your going that size. I wish I had 4.88 but even 4.56 I did not get any boost in mpg. if anything saw slightly more drop with the 315's

 

I need to regear to 4.56. I'm a manual on 315/75r16. I'm getting about 13-14 mpg, currently. Main reason is so I don't lose too much speed going uphill and when I'm wheeling I don't have enough gearing to crawl without having to ride the clutch to prevent stalling. I'm a heavy bish, though.
