No special switch to engage it, though. Just feather the throttle and let it sort itself out. Probably not as advanced as Atrac, but I haven't gotten stuck yet either. :notsure:

The G80 is nice, I actually really like it in concept. In practice...seems kind of clunky when needed.

I mean heck so is a truck in general, still want one :p yeah, I am happy I have it now that I've used it a few times. But like I said I'm even looking at stepping down to a 4x4 i4 next time :p

Where abouts are you? I could maybe even pick up :p I'll PM you.

Ford uses turbskis and v6s...... In my opinion N/A power will always be better plus ya know rumble v8 noises. Tabs actually had a 19 Tahoe that's supercharged :DDDDD well above our price range though

There's an NA V6 option in the F150s, at least there was.

...and the 5.0 V8, but they don't sell a whole lot of them. Most are 2.7s and 3.5s. Only way I'd look at a 5.0 is if it were otherwise the perfect truck and a killer deal. I'm pretty attached to the turbos now. The low end power is amazing.

I think I use mine on fishing trips more than I do wheeling. Haha.

Muddy ruts and I always end up either just spinning one wheel or lifting one off the ground. Certainly not a daily thing and overkill for most people. But if your a value kinda guy it's wither the same money for a scoop or a mechanical device haha

If I wanted it for 20+ years the 5.0 would be my choice for DIY wrenching. The turbos are reliable but it's just easier to work on an NA engine. If it was a 3-5 year lease or trade in after, yeah I'd try the 2.7 for sure, and my next truck -- very well may!

Or spend even less and just get the SR5 :p With how many people sell TRD OR take offs straight off the bat, I'm also considering just grabbing an SR next time around too!

That'd be a fun ride! Did they put the 3.0 diesel in the Tahoe? That'd be a nice option. Great fuel economy and a competent tow vehicle.
I will say this, the 5.0 was overall pretty easy to work on. They tuck it pretty far back in the engine bay so there's lots of room in front of the engine to reach whatever it is you need. When I had to replace the coolant fitting, I could sit between the engine and the radiator with the front end on ramps. Same thing replacing the serpentine belt.

Yeah. 100 ways to skin that cat. But then again I'll never tell someone how to spend their own money. Haha.

Yeah, I probably won't have this truck for more than about one more year (three total). Depending on Ford's May incentives there's a possibility of less than that.

Yeah, I miss that low-end grunt when I'm towing. The Hemi makes prettier noises, but going back to keeping the revs up to keep it in the power has taken some getting used to. On the other hand, the overall capacity is much higher, so it's weird to be towing something small like the boat up a hill and have the engine bounce to 3500RPM's where the F150 would have just sat at 1500 & upped the boost instead.

bigger truck with an N/A v6 will not work as well as the v8, plus not sure what the N/A v6s were rated as far as tow rating and payload.

I'd be more interested in an expedition but they haven't used the v8 since I think 2014 maybe even sooner.

They are putting it in the newer Tahoes but those are way too rich for my blood. Hell what we get probably won't even have a leather interior so I'll put one in.

This is mine, works great. Can wash dogs who may or may not roll in shit/dead animals as well as the truck! We like it a lot, would recommend if you find the time. Bought a hot/cold spigot off Amazon, that was prob the most expensive piece. The copper shown just goes like a foot to the outside, everything else is the tubing to a little bit of copper right at the pipe where it connects I believe.

:thumbsup: I agree, I'd laugh and say "no problem". Almost like the car is too tough for the place, take it as a badge of honor.:hattip:

Then maybe try to find a nice rust free car from AZ :rofl::rofl:

    I wasn't suggesting the V6 NA F150 :D that's tiny. Same as a 4 banger tacoma but I still want one of them o_O

Leather seat covers or actually doing the Full Monty?

I have one of those car wash hose heads with the soap reservoir. What a godsend that is! Spray her down, then soap her down and use a wash mitt, and then rinse her off. A full scrub down takes about 2 minutes now, outside with no mess inside. NOTE: Fill it with dog shampoo....not car wash soap....

Either or. I've seen similar prices between the two.

Does anyone need the ECGs bearing tool?

I'm done with mine. Willing to let it go as long as you send it along to someone else who needs it.

Anyone have any experience with lawn doctor or true green / etc? I’ve been trying to revive my yard for the past 4 years and it’s only getting worse each year...
