I’m working on my current 14 day quarantine, as I went to the NH liquor store last week to prep for the 14 day quarantine.

I think Mills is going to speak about noon today.

Yeah if they push the 14 day quarantine past I would probably be out or a game time call. Like I said all I need is jerry cans and TP, grab the dog and go, so if they lift the quarantine week-of, I could make it (I have no children to worry about :p) The article I posted said she had it worked out and was finalizing it and would announce today, probably during their normal press time.

You got your priorities right. I like it.

I moved to RI and people don't understand two things.

    1. Allens. They don't understand that the stores are 1/2 Allens and then 1/2 everything else. I am not a coffee person so I was never a fan, but even still....
    2. I was laughed at when I asked "Where can you buy beer and liquor?", and the guy gave me a condescending answer of "A liquor store...?" Listen here bub, let me tell you about a magical place called Maine where you can get Gas, a breakfast sandwich, a bottle of Jack, and a pack of hostess cupcakes all at one stop because the state has it figured out. Plus grocery stores. RI - liquor stores only, for anything. Wine, beer, booze, everything has to be liquor store. Flipside, I have a 10 minute commute home and pass 4.

This is a very real concern, and but probably a game time call. I also haven't bothered to call NMW yet to make sure the roads are open and they won't give us a hard time at the gate. After the Raptor club came up there a few years ago they get a little twitchy about big groups.

Last year we took a very liberal definition of the boundaries for the campsite our first night in the NMW, and converged everyone on the clearly established sight for fire and cooking.

We'll see what the presser at noon has to say.

That's the other thing too is even if the state says something, private might say something else:

    https://www.pressherald.com/2020/04/15/baxter-state-park-closes-to-camping-and-traffic/#

    https://bangordailynews.com/2020/04...k-extends-coronavirus-shutdown-another-month/

So, NMW might extend their shut down beyond what gubment says anyway.

I watched a minute or two of it. She extended the stay at home to May 31, so yeah I'm guessing she's maintaining the 14 day quarantine through then as well. :'(

ugghh, so much for doing any group camping activities this summer... maybe a small camping trip (less than 10 obviously)? I have the week before memorial day if anyone is interested, just no idea where... NMW is not a state park, and still open last I knew.

And that's a wrap folks, I appreciate the interest in the trip:

"The 14-day quarantine of people entering or returning to Maine will continue through at least August."

At this point we'll call it postponed until fall, Columbus day at the earliest.

Fall is a great time to go. Highly reduced quantity of bird sized flying insects trying to carry you off to their nest to feed you to their larve.

I’m up for it. Actually the weekend after it works for me too, that is supposed to be Umaine homecoming but who knows if that’ll happen this year.

Dude, imagine being a senior this year and not having Maine Day. Especially with the wicked nice weather we had today.. So much day drinking potential, all wasted..

I don’t remember my Maine day senior year. As should nobody. Freshman year I was all giddy and volunteered or some shit. Senior year we got plastered. Poor seniors.

I did see right before everyone got sent home they did a pseudo graduation in the union even dean Dana talked at it and all that.

That's a damned shame o_O Bright side (for me) I'll be able to go now! I looked at this too late to be able to plan it out but now I'll be able to organize and go!
