My 09 Tacoma is lifted about 3" (I think the front has settled some) and have 265/70/r17 BFGs on TRD SEMA wheels.

I wanted to run spacers on the wheels to have the tires stick out a bit from the fenders.

The problem I have is that even with no spacers I have a slight rub when the wheel is full turned. If I add the spacers the rub only get worse.

So for now I am not running the spacers but I want to find a way to use them

    Any ideas for the group?

You are probably hitting the front plastics and mudflaps (if you still have them on). Start cutting :sawzall:

Yes rubbing the plastic fender. Looks like it would be very close to the cab corner of the spacers were on.

Would lifting a bit more help with clearing?

Only if it was a body lift. Just start trimming.

I have 265/70/17’s with spacers and rub the fender liner towards the bumper. All I had to do was trim away and no more rubbing.

What wheels are you running? What are your alignment numbers? Something is not right as that size of tire should not rub.

That’s where I was rubbing and you can see what I trimmed. I trimmed excess because I’m going with a larger tire but my 265’s were rubbing.

I was just thinking the same thing. I'm stock running 265/70/17s and I couldn't make it rub if I wanted to.

I agree with a 3” lift those shouldn’t rub at all

I’m pretty sure it’s the spacer that’s causing the rubbing. Pushes our wheel out so it will make contact on full lock.

Here are a few of the passenger side. It just clears. It's the driver side that rubs just a bit. These pictures are with no spacers just 265/70/r17 tires on the TRD SEMA 7" wheels

First, do you have stock UCAs? Also, rotate your wheels & check the rub again. I have the SEMA rims with 265/65/17s, on 3 inch Toytec coilovers & aal. There's no way I would rub on 265/70s, maybe on the front flaps. I still want to get a pinch weld, cmc, & trim. You consider getting them done? Its fairly cheap and or easy to do once your comfortable with it.

Edit: Also - you could always just...."Cut the sucker"

    I have jba Control arms.

Do you have a front bumper or winch? I measured the front and I swear it should be higher with the springs and socks I have. I believe i am measuring 22" center of hub to fender in the front. It seems low.
