Everything is surprisingly soft metal to cut threw which makes it a bit easier. I spent way too many hours cleaning everything up with a wire wheel to repaint it all to get a few more years out of everything if I can. Changed everything out for poly bushings and it definitely rides better now. Just need to replace every shock on the truck as they are all definitely worn right out.

Anyone own a side by side? I've been looking at maybe picking myself up a Yamaha Wolverine X2 next year. It looks more capable than the Tacoma will ever be, and I don't have to care as much when I run it into a tree in the woods.

I have a bent control arm and all the bushings are beat out. I figured it's just time to do new LCA's

I'm running out of excuses to put these bad boys on!
    painted with bedliner.
looking good if I say so myself

its all done with duplicolor stuff. While I like the finished texture, and I think it makes them look pro grade, I know its just going to scrape off, but at least i'm able to re-spray anytime I feel like it.

All scuffed up and some self etching primer on it ( note, one can is not enough for two coats on a set of sliders )
    b2adyjiX6iy4pPIQwQQUw0gu-y6M9GsSD2z_5_83_b89e653a2e219871e32f3f900fd16266c2d3329c.jpg

Next I put 2 heavy coats on each one. My Daylight and warm weather were fading fast. Ya gotta do what you gotta do! Used about 90% of each can on a coat. Once I finished a coat, I would drop the can, pick up a new one and move over to the other slider. Took about 20 min per each side which was perfect since I was supposed to wait 20 min between coats.

All done. Let them dry overnight. The next day before I could get a chance to bring them inside it rained. I made the choice to leave them outside and can happily say they are ok. I guess they dried enough where the rain was no bother.

i dont have any pics, they’re in my fathers basement. They are bolt-on, not the cheaper standard duty, the heavy duty with the plates that hug the frame

Windshield is leaking at the top drivers side corner. Anyone have any luck resealing it without pulling out the windshield?

Also have a leak in the rear window, but that isn't pooling in the drivers side footwell preventing my carpet from going back in so I care less about it.

Or else I'll have to break the social distancing guidelines and come stand next to you with coffee to look at them.

    ha!!

Well, since you asked so nicely.....

Here's the hardware, its all 1/2" Gr 8 stuff, some custome made washer and stuff. All painted and coated in fluid film / never seize.

    aS82dknP1-79LDaKBmBRwsT1k4Ib0uCrphxf9UB3_88472ccdb574fbcea3085d77e33351cb32c6c006.jpg

Due to Covid-19, I had to get resourceful since I couldn't ask anyone to help me, Mik Crates to the rescue!! Turns on that they were just about perfect for staging the sliders on a stock height truck

    Iz96hTnqpXiGmu4rNPNzKu36P22P3Jr7q3K7jaxw_da2c36353a6058bf19e55ff0a9967b1e95c15554.jpg

    Boom!
Installed. the install wasn't that bad by myself.
    Usf8uAfZlOmzuBMrVQG__PMMqQbDoaurW_SQM9wk_cc50524f06b7ed24a6a904891d778a6560986215.jpg JDBh1WRAv_RbmooIMqCQ2Fc6NRCvN3dyfBZ7BUNN_4507cac42aadeb33651854c543b1529606ab448f.jpg

I'm pretty pleased with how the turned out, they are pretty stiff, I've been using the kick out to get in and out of the bed the past two days, and can say its pretty usefull.

this was pre-sliders, but I also spent my income tax refund on a new patio set.

    man I love trucks :D
anyone wants a real good deal on some patio furnature, Amazing Savingz Warehouse in Burnside has a great deal on some BestBuy over stock
the Guys is great too, I called up, told him the color I wanted and he had it by the door waiting. I paid, he wheeled it out and put it in the back of the truck for me. I was there maybe 10 min in total.
    EOJtnSzlvv_yK8m25MYchG_gIu7SJWdkT1knAR5S_bbc74d3585bb0952992556365a735041a75678d5.jpg

this is actually 2 patio sets combined, We got the first one home, and liked it so much we bought a 2nd ( no joke! )

what you get is 1 corner storage peice, 2 end chairs, and two "middle" chairs that have no arms. Makes a nice "L" shape
Sits 4 people comfortably, of if you double down, you can get 8 seats, and two storage sections, LOL.

When this thing is lifted, I now have seating for some summertime "daddy pops"

**Edit** meant to say with friends, Daddy pops with friends.

    I just found this.
its the youtube channel / episode that @Canoehead and I helped on earlier in the year.
    https://youtu.be/SS4bjjspEio

giver a watch and a thumbs up!

*keep in mind, that neither Buck or his gust have ever really been 4x4ing, how terrifying would it be handing the keys of your Daily over to some person ( who in this case, never even drove a standard before ) and hittin the trails?

Canoehead's in the front, and I'm in the rear with the camera crew in the middle.

quite honestly the best part was when they got stuck in the ice, and Canoeheads telling them what to do
everyone else " what do we do? do we which out? "
Canoehead...." id just drive it out...."

to Peter's credit, he drove the whole thing, and did a great job. He's a real nice guy ( the whole crew was actually! )
the producer rode with me, and Canoehead had the film crew in / out of his truck all day. Canoehead was also the designated Ice basher since everything was iced over pretty good.

That's great guys! So, I've almost been swayed away from the Tacoma idea, I went and looked at, drove, a 76 Unimog 406, it was instant love...... Then reality kicked in and I need 4 seats for 2 little girls *sigh* Back on the hunt again....
