Also sounds like they cant order it the normal way so the part number/price doesnt show up. The rep I talked to needs to call Toyota to find out. Go figure

 

I've never been successful obtaining any CARB eo sticker (supercharger) from Toyota from either the local dealership(s) nor that MDC @Toyota address. They've all claimed its NLA or feigned ignorance.


Hence, why I had to the reproduction sticker route. And made bi-annual smog checks much more less stressful.

i had some made for my needs.

 

so im in the market for a 1pc driveshaft. tom woods looks like the main go to. did find some in carbon and aluminum from another shop. any thoughts on carbon? i realize its not large so rotational mass might not reflect butt dyno smiles, not sure. thoughts fellas?

Looks like I am going to have to make mine. Toyota dealer isn’t having any luck locating one. Sad Toyota is so crap at this. When I bought my jba headers one phone call or email I can’t remember and they sent my sticker out the next day.

Stickers are incredibly easy to reproduce these days. Access to technology is greater than it has ever been, especially at the consumer level. If you guys need these labels I'm sure it would not be insanely difficult to reproduce our own, even if we have to go through an outside source to do so.

 

i would not use carbon in a truck that is towing or hauling weight. i would not even use one in drag racing. but thats my opinion.
i thought you had a one piece driveshaft already?

 

Anybody got any ideas for getting a one piece drive re-sized? Or retubed whatever it’s called. Looking for rough cost estimates.

 

i think i paid no more than 150 in colorado after i dented the shit out of mine.

 

to shorten is easy. to lengthen is costly. if you need to lengthen an inch or so get a spacer.

 

not sure how much yet, it is a one piece for a Dana 60 coming from a short bed to a long bed.

 

that will be quite a bit longer. that will need a new tube. the ends should be able to be reused if the shop is decent. i went through all this when converted my truck. started with a one piece but with my tires and gearing i got vibes at 68mph. like an on off switch. then had to get a two piece. dana has a calculator on there website for driveshaft critical velocity. may want to check into that. you may find out that it will be too long for a one piece.

 

I will check it out. I have had zero problems with my two piece, but not sure of the ability to reuse his flange and yoke.
