Best cheapest/ easiest yet. Anyway, just google "DIY roof top tent hoist" and you can see all these for yourself. People come up with some wild stuff. And some really sketchy stuff.

Don't worry! Clearly that has been methodically designed with proper ballast in mind.

Why not get a carport or something to park under when the tent is on?

    Boom. There it is.

The first indication you are fucking up is when 1) you have a wile e. Coyote contraption (that you even paid for with real money) in your garage that helps you remove things from the top of your truck and the second is 2) your shit don’t fit inside anymore.

A person can say what they want about personal preference and this and that and I’ll usually buy it, but those two things right there prove that it’s them, and not me.

I love the contraptions. I was gonna start this dumpster fire by saying a bigger garage or a regular tent. Or you could probably throw some 13” rims on with some low pro’s (will they rub (drums)?:anonymous:).

In for endless TW possibilities and shitposts

It's not stupid if it works, right? Whole operation to change tires, remove tent, and reinstall man sized tires is about 15 minutes. Not bad, and better than my other way. Gained me over 4.5" that I needed, and cost me $120.

Come on man, we’re going to need the full side shot with those low profiles.

    Don't raise the roof.

Lower the floor. Dig out the driveway lower! Lower the garage floor too!

    Ok, several things here...
I see you’ve already got your tiny wheel/tire solution (kudos!) but I was going to jump on the dig-down bandwagon only because I had a neighbor buy a motor home when I was a kid that didn’t fit in his barn. He had me dig a trench in the (dirt) barn floor with a ramp leading in. Then he had me build a flap on the bottom of the door to cover the opening under the door the ramp left. After a few days of rain, he had me dig down further and put in a drainage system under gravel. When all was said and done, his friends made fun of him endlessly for his efforts and I had close to $1000 as a middle school kid...which I’m sure I spent on dumb shit.

Secondly...I admittedly have the same. Exact. Problem. And I live in the Northern Hudson Valley. I’d be happy to help, and my wife would appreciate not be asked to wrestle the tent on and off the truck!

Buy yourself a set or beat up rims and tiny tires and you can be one of the cool kids too!

Drop the air pressure in the tires? How low do you have to go?

Buying those wheels is the best option since they will take up almost no storage space and also be the cheapest option. There are Jeep guys who do this to work on their lifted Jeeps in their Garage instead of outside. You can even knock out a Tire Rotation while you are at it.
