That's what I was wondering, if I set a limit sell order on F for $15, is it just going to stay open for many years, then one day it just sells for me? I'd rather just keep an eye on it for things like that, maybe different if I was trading.

TD Ameritrade: I can set it from today (April 28) to end of October, so maybe I can only set it 6 months. It says "Good til cancelled" but then makes me choose an end date :confused:

BUT It does let me identify the tax lot either FIFO, LIFO, high or low cost, or "tax efficient", whatever that is.

Anybody get into CREX today? +300% on news about automated temperature checking. Swing trading that today was crazy, locked in a lot of profit by scalping the prices a few times today. Still going wild after hours. Also killed it in SCO, love the bad oil news lol.

    Hello all,

I been watching this thread for a while. Just gonna throw my 2 cents in. A lot of the regional banks go hit pretty hard with the virus. Some of the banks I buy and trade regularly are below:

    CCNE
    FCF
    FHN
    NWBI
    VLY

All of them are trading pretty low, pay good dividends and are cheap. As always do your own research. I like banks because

    A) The risk factor and they rarely go out of business. Typically, they are just bought out by other larger banks
    B) They pay good dividends

    Happy Trading :)

Last time I invested in a bank, my brother's bank (he was a VP), they went out of business and I lost my investment. He lost a shitload of his retirement (401k).

Not all banks are bad, but historically there has been colossal failures that hurt shareholders, but the bank leadership received their "Golden Parachute".

    No thanks.

I see a substantial amount of insider investing has been made at these banks since the shutdown. Normal? Driving up confidence? Money grab?

Understood on the banking sector. I do not invest in the real estate stocks. My first stock I invested in is now worth 12 bucks on my 2,000 dollar investment. For this reason, I do not invest in real estate stocks.

The banks I listed are all over a billion in value but 2. They have a long history of paying dividends, splitting, and buying other smaller banks out. NWBI and FHN just bought out banks this year.

They are on sale, why not take it? We will see what stocks are solid companies here over the next year.

I heard it was taking 60 days or more, and that was early March before a lot of banks started having people work from home. I’m sure they are swamped

I had also started the process on the 3rd of March. Just signed on last Friday. I don’t know if the lenders are just backed up or plain nervous about the situation. It was through my bank and was in contact with them constantly. They even waived the appraisal fees on both my properties as inspectors coming out was not going to happen with all this.

Not disagreeing about holding, I just think that what you bought a stock for should not influence your decision to buy sell or hold.
There's no reason to buy or hold if you don't think it will go up and you should always sell if you think it will go down.
Predicting what a stock will do is the tricky part, but what you paid for it has nothing to do with what it will do.
